Spain: Using Migrant Wave, ISIS Targets Spain

Hat tip Caso Aislado and La Razon. Translation by Fousesquawk.

Spain is dealing with the Covid pandemic and the flood of migrants coming across the Mediterranean from North Africa or coming by land across the Spanish enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla. At the same time, the country, its churches and police are being targeted by ISIS. The below report from Caso Aislado is translated by Fousesquawk.

Islamic State orders jihadists to attack in Spain, attacking churches and police

Confirmed by anti-terrorist sources

-17 January 2021 Caso Aislado

The Islamic State has ordered jihadists to attack in Spain, targeting the churches and Spanish police officers. According to information this Sunday by La Razon, anti-terrorist sources confirm that the risk of a jihadist attack in the West is high despite the pandemic, and Spain is one of the principal targets of the Islamic State.

Daesh (ISIS) continues to claim Andaluz, and for that, they want lone wolves to attack in Spain, above all, against the churches of our country and members of the forces and security agencies of the State.

Recently, three jihadists were arrested in Barcelona as they were preparing an attack in our country. Those jihadists had arrived in Spain onboard a boat that arrived at Almeria last summer. They are not the only jihadists who have arrived in Spain illegally. Months earlier, Abdel Bary, a dangerous jihadist, was arrested after arriving from Algeria on a boat.

Anti-terrorist units know that Spain is threatened by jihadism and know that many of the jihadists who want to get to Spain intend to do so as illegal immigrants onboard boats, where the lack of control that exists permits them access to our territory without being identified.

The Dutch Anti-Lockdown Riots

Hat tip Gates of Vienna and Vlad Tepes

Photo- Havana Times

This past week, many Dutch cities were wracked by riots protesting the government's imposed 9 pm curfew due to the Covid crisis. As my regular readers know, I have translated many Dutch-language articles (I read Dutch) over the past couple of years on this site. So I follow the events in that country closely.

In this link, my friends at Gates of Vienna have posted three videos in connection with the riots. One is by a notorious Muslim fugitive from the Netherlands who celebrates the riots. Another is from a Muslim resident in the country who condemns the rioters, and the third is from the mayor of Rotterdam, who is also a Muslim, and who also condemns the riots. You can view many of the videos at Vlad Tepes Blog here.

The question arises, due to the obvious problems existent in the Netherlands, who exactly is doing the rioting? Is it average Dutch citizens? Is it immigrants, Turks, Moroccans? Is Antifa involved? One report says Pegida-types (anti-Muslim immigration) have been seen participating. In sum, is it the left or the right who is rioting?

The answer seems to be everybody has taken part, left, right, native Dutch, immigrants etc. As you might guess, it is mostly young people.

My own contacts in the Netherlands inform me that while all sides are involved, it is probably 70%-30% on the left. That includes segments of the large Turkish and Moroccan communities that live in the Netherlands. I have no empirical data to back that up, so take it for what it is worth. The bottom line is no one group can be singled out.

Gang Beating in Paris Arouses Outrage

In Paris, 8 minors and 1 adult are in custody charged with the savage gang beating of a 15-year-old boy in mid-January. The below article contains a video of the attack, which was spread on social media. (Viewer warning.) Translation by Fousesquawk.

Beating of Yuri in Paris: 9 persons taken into custody

8 minors and 1 adult have been placed in custody for "attempted murder" and "criminal association".

-By L'Obs with AFP (Agence France Presse)
Posted 28 January 2012 at 08:04-updated 28 January 2021 at 10:41

The investigation is on-going. Eight minors and one adult-and not nine minors as initially reported- have been arrested this Thursday, 28 January in the morning and placed in custody in the investigation into the beating of a 15-year-old schoolboy, Yuri, in mid-January in Paris, we have learned from the Prosecutor's Office, confirming information from "The Point".

The persons "have been placed in custody on charges of attempted murder, criminal association with intent to commit a crime, and group robbery with violence," stated the Prosecutor's Office.

The young adolescent was taken to the hospital in serious condition after having been severely beaten by a gang of youths during the evening of 15 January. He was then with some friends on the ledge of Beaugrenelle, the converted rooftop of a commercial center, facing the Seiner in the 15th District, a well-to-do quarter of the capital.

The investigation, opened for "attempted voluntary group homicide," must examine, among others, the trail of an attack by a gang of youths from parts of west Paris and attempt to establish the origin of the fight and the connection between the different protagonists, according to the same source.

According to a source close to the case, the schoolboy "had a screwdriver in his pocket," at the time of the attack.

Friday evening, the spread of 20 seconds of images of the attack on social media aroused a stir. One sees about 10 youths in sport clothes and hooded jackets kicking and striking a person on the ground with clubs including at head level before leaving him.

Several celebrities, including the football player, Antoine Griezmann, and the actor, Omar Sy, were moved by the fate of the victim and lent him their support. The Elysee Palace announced Sunday evening that they had had "an exchange" with the mother of Yuri, Nataliya Kruchenyk.

The adolescent "is doing a little better. He is awake, (and) tries to express himself," she indicated Monday morning on BFM-TV.
Conservative French politician, Marine LePen, has issued a strong statement of condemnation on Twitter.

"Are we supposed to get used to this savageness?  Are we supposed to get used to these barbaric lynchings. Today, Yuri, tomorrow who?

The government can no longer close its eyes to this daily ultra-violence while responding only by the culture of the excuse!"

The Lauren Wolfe Affair

This article first appeared in New English Review.

The New York Times is back in the news again. That is a pun because the Times, like all newspapers, should be reporting the news-not making it. Last week the Times fired Lauren Wolfe, a  freelance editor, after she tweeted that watching Joe Biden's plane land in Washington gave her chills. For that, she was fired.

This, of course, brings back memories of MSNBC's Chris Matthews telling us how he got thrills going up his leg listening to an Obama speech. And that was live on MSNBC! Did they fire him for that? Of course not, but that's MSNBC. Eventually, Matthews was canned, but that was for another matter.

Naturally, the Wolfe affair has caused a firestorm on the left who are defending her freedom of speech. In this case, I certainly agree with them though watching Biden's plane land in Washington basically left me depressed. That is not the point.

When you Google Lauren Wolfe and the New York Times, you will need to go to about the 7th page to find conservative-source articles on this matter. (Something about those algorithms.) As you wade through the liberal sources, you miss some obvious points that are not mentioned. First of all, how ironic and strange is it that the Times fires someone for showing pro-Biden bias-something the Times does everyday-not on Twitter, but on its front page and opinion page. In fact, had Lauren written a glowing op-ed about Biden's "historic" landing in Washington, she would still be working at the Times today. In fact, had she written said piece and plastered it on the front page, she would still have a job. When it comes to pro-Democrat, anti-Republican, anti-Trump bias, nobody in the printed media outdoes the  New York Times.

The liberal media rather than point out this irony, prefers to blame Wolfe's firing on the conservative media/conservative media watchdogs who supposedly were demanding she be fired. Controversial freelance journalist Glenn Greenwald, who last I heard was living somewhere in the Brazilian Amazon, is getting blamed for breaking the story about Wolfe's tweet. Of course, when it comes to politics, Greenwald is all over the map, but that's another topic. And since when does the New York Times care about what conservatives think?

Truth is, the New York Times has long since degenerated into a propaganda arm of the Democrat party and has no credibility when it comes to objective journalism. If they are going to fire people for pro-Biden bias, they may as well fire themselves. But what does truth matter in journalism any more? It's all opinion-based, and so-called journalists and papers like the Times are getting Pulitzer prizes for making stuff up-witness the Russian-Trump hoax.

Wolfe should not have been fired, and the Times should stop pretending to be impartial when it comes to politics. Once again, they have made themselves a laughing stock in the field of journalism.

Is the Swedish Government Lying About Immigration Figures?

Hat tip Ullis News, Kronans Martell, Gates of Vienna, Vlad Tepes, and RAIR Foundation

Does a democratic government have the responsibility to tell the truth to its citizens about immigration policies? There is nothing wrong with immigration, per se. If properly controlled, immigration is a great resource for any country. When I say, if properly controlled, I mean that the receiving country has control over how many come and who gets in. Sweden, by any measure, has gone off the rails when it comes to immigration. Without painting every single immigrant in Sweden with a wide brush, it is obvious that the flood of young, single males from places like Afghanistan, the Middle East, and Africa, overwhelmingly Muslim, has resulted in a dramatic surge in crime-and often crime of the violent kind.

The below segment of a Swedish TV discussion is translated by Kronans Martell.

Sweden: Afghan Man Gets 10 Months and No Deportation for Sexually Abusing his Daughter

Hat tip Fria Tider. Translation by Fousesquawk.

Mora (Dalarna), Sweden

The insanity continues in Sweden. While the government continues to ignore the carnage and the rapes going on in the country, thanks to their insane immigration policies, the courts continue to treat offenders with light prison sentences and no deportations in spite of the severity of the crimes.

In this latest report by Fria Tider, translated by Fousesquawk, we read of a 45-year-old Afghan man convicted of sexually abusing his teenage daughter on multiple occasions, beating her, and getting a sentence of 10 months with no deportation.

Sexually abused his daughter to "check if she was Muslim"

-Posted January 25, 2021, 15:27

Caption below photo: Mora (Dalarna) Courthouse

Domestic- An Afghan man, aged 45, in Dalarna, has been sentenced to prison but avoids deportation for having sexually abused his daughter on a number of occasions. He blamed the abuse on his daughter and said that she should pray to Allah for forgiveness, according to the judgment.

The man came to Sweden in 2015 from Afghanistan with his daughter. The abuse against his daughter was committed while the daughter, according to the Swedish population register, was about 14 or younger, until May 2020.

On a number of occasions, he lay down beside his daughter in her bed, kissed her and caressed her breast as he masturbated or pressed his sex (organ) against her and made intercourse-like movements.

The girl testified in court that the father, after the first occasion, explained to her that what happened was her fault and they should pray together for Allah's forgiveness.

When they lived with a  Swedish couple, he would lay next to her in the mornings, (scratch himself) against her and "said that he was checking if she was a Muslim", according to the judgment.

According to the daughter's passport, issued in Afghanistan, she was born in 2005. There has since emerged information, which the girl received from her mother, that she was really born in 2007, and that she is, thus, 13 years old now.

The abuse was discovered in the spring of 2020 when the Afghan beat his daughter in front of their neighbors after she had lost a cell phone. The girl told the Swedish couple what she had been exposed to.

The father, who has several other children in Afghanistan, denied the crime and claimed that he "had only shown (his) love for his daughter when he lay next to her in bed. He also claimed that he "had problems with his penis" with an itchy rash and that it was "hard to control the itching."

The court of Mora has now sentenced the man to 10 months in prison for four counts of sexual abuse against a child and one count of  (physical) abuse. He is allowed to stay in Sweden though since the prosecutor had not urged that he be deported.

Turkey: Loyal Dog Waits 7 Days Outside Hospital for Owner

Hat tip La Stampa

European newspapers are talking about the dog whose owner was hospitalized for 7 days in the Black Sea coastal town of  Trabzon. For 7 days, the dog waited outside the hospital door waiting for his owner to return.  Here is an Italian report complete with photos and heartwarming video.

The dog, named Boncuk (Pearl in Turkish), actually followed the ambulance that took his owner to the hospital. The man's daughter took the dog home, but every morning, Boncuk returned to the hospital door poking his nose inside every time the door opened to see if he could see his owner.

Chuckie Schemer's (SIC) Greatest Speech

Senator Chuck Schemer, er, Schumer (D-NY) has made a lot of speeches on Blueberry Capitol Hill, but none more memorable than this one. While announcing that an impeachment trial will go forward against Donald Trump in the Senate, he stated that they will decide if Donald John Trump incited an erection.

(Er, insurrection).

Meanwhile, somewhere Hillary wasn't laughing.

"If I coulda done that, I'd be your president."

Another Preventable Death in Sweden

 Hat tip Samnytt (Se)

Once again, there is another death on the altar of political correctness in Sweden. A 21-year-old female was shot to death in a district of SE Stockholm. The suspect in custody is a 24-year-old man from some unspecified hellhole who has a long criminal history since arriving in Sweden. Released early from a 2-year prison sentence, he is now in custody on murder charges.

The below report from Samnytt is translated by Fousesquawk.

Criminal gang member received sentence reduction- Shoots 21-year-old woman to death

-Domestic, January 22, 2021, 20:30

The young woman who was shot in the head this weekend in an apartment in Gustavsberg in southeast greater Stockholm, has died. That is confirmed by the police. The 24-year-old man with a non-Western immigrant background, who the day after was arrested and held for the crime, is in custody on probable cause, suspected of murder, aggravated weapons offense, and aggravated narcotics offense.

It was on Saturday night that the drama played out. After a report came in (to police),  a 21-year-old woman who was discovered with life-threatening gunshot wounds was taken to the hospital by ambulance helicopter and placed under anesthesia. However, her life could not be saved.

A 24-year-old man, previously known to police, with a non-Western immigrant background, was quickly arrested as the suspect who fired the shot.   He is said to uttered the words, "What have I done?" He is now in custody suspected of murder and aggravated weapons offense.

Information is lacking as to what relationship the perpetrator and victim have to each other. The apartment where the murder was committed is said to belong to a third person.

Would have been in prison when the murder was committed

The 24-year-old has an earlier conviction record for, among others, several narcotics offenses, unlawful threats, attempted extortion, knife offenses, weapons offenses, several attempts at fraud, drunk driving, and several aggravated illegal driving (offenses).

The man was sentenced in June 2019 to two years in prison and would have been in prison at the time of the murder if he had not received a sentence reduction.

The judiciary has also treated the man gently, who, among other things, had a prison sentence converted to probation after he assured the court that he would leave the criminal path and become honest.

According to Aftonbladet, police seized 10 kilos of an unspecified drug in the apartment.

The Latest Transformation of our News Media

"Yeah, Old Joe is gonna bring unity, right, Boys?"

Now that Donald Trump is no longer in office and Joe Biden is president, all is well with the world. Good has triumphed over evil, and our news media has switched-on a dime- from being in opposition to everything Trump stood for and tried to accomplish to being, once again, the State-run press.

On Inauguration Day, the reporting of our media was downright fawning, as if Abraham Lincoln had descended from Heaven and retaken the reins of power. But it wasn't Abraham Lincoln, and it wasn't the Gettysburg Address; it was Joe Biden, an empty-suit veteran of five decades in Washington who had never accomplished anything of note other than be repeatedly re-elected. Yet, the accolades and the superlatives rained down all day long from CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC. Some of the language was downright hysterical.

Meanwhile, one-trick pony and former comedian Jimmy Kimmel continues to rant about Trump-now ensconced in Mar-a-Lago, Florida. Kimmel hasn't told a joke in months. He just rails angrily against Trump somehow forgetting that Biden is now president because, after all, he's not going to spend 4 years joking about Biden even though there is a wealth of material.

In spite of Old Joe's talk about unity in his Inauguration speech, the Democrats are pushing ahead with an impeachment trial of Trump. There will be no unity. Anybody who voted for Trump, carried a sign for Trump, or those in Congress who defended his protests that the election was stolen is to be publicly castigated, driven from public office, driven from public life. The assault on free speech will continue. Old Joe can talk about unity all he wants and how he will be president for everybody. He isn't strong enough to stand against the Jacobins in his party. Within a year or two, they will gently tell him that he needs to resign due to his declining "health". The truth is Old Joe doesn't have his fastball anymore, and everybody knows it-even those who refuse to say it-like the State-run press.

It should also be noted that though there was no riot in Washington on Wednesday, riots did ensue that evening in Portland and Seattle. No, it wasn't Trump supporters. It was Antifa letting us know that replacing Trump with Biden was not going to bring peace to our streets. They stand for anarchy-no matter who is in power, and they are not going away. So while the new Department of Justice is now free to go after right-wing extremists, they cannot turn a blind eye to those on the left, like Antifa. Then again, they might.

In that respect, I am hopeful that the incoming AG, Merrick Garland, will not ignore Antifa. He may be center-left or even liberal, but I have reason to believe he is no Eric Holder, a man who corrupted the DOJ under Obama.

But our news media is another story. They have been ignoring Antifa ever since it arrived on the scene. They have pooh-poohed the events last year in Portland and other places as they concentrate their indignation on right-wing groups. I will be the first to admit that I don't know as much as I should about Proud Boys, Boogaloo Bois, and Qanon, and it behooves me to learn more. To the extent they were involved in the events of January 6 at the Capitol, I condemn them. But they pale in comparison to the documented antics of Antifa. Nobody should get a free pass when it comes to violence. Yet, when it comes to Antifa-and Black Lives Matter- that is exactly what they have gotten from the Democrats and, of course, our press.

One final observation: Not only did President Trump get no credit from the media for the speed in which a vaccine for Covid 19 was developed and approved (in record time), the media only criticized the process of getting it out to the public. "It's a mess", "It's chaos", "Can the vaccine be trusted?". Watch now with Biden as president how it is reported. Within weeks or months, Biden will be called a "savior" for making it all run smooth. He will have "fixed" it. He will have saved hundreds of thousands of lives. Can you say, "Nobel Peace Prize"?

Once again, the dishonesty and the hypocrisy of our news media is on full display.

They Love Juan Cole in Algeria

"The author below points out that a lot of Western observers who see themselves as following Enlightenment ideals have not actually upheld the standards of reason and free inquiry when it came to writing about Islam."

-Juan Cole

One doesn't often see or hear the words, "Enlightenment" and "Islam" used in the same sentence, but University of Michigan comedian Juan Cole has broken that barrier. Somewhere on the Internet, he has found a glowing review of his book, "Mohammad: Prophet of Peace Amid the Clash of Empires". Most knowledgeable readers wouldn't get past the title of Cole's book without moving on to the sports section, but he has found support-from Algeria of all places. In this posting from the pompously-named Cole blog, "Informed Comment", Cole breathlessly breaks the news about this glowing review from an Algerian newspaper.

Fousesquawk comment: I haven't seen such fawning language since watching the Biden inauguration this week. But Cole can be forgiven because, outside of academia and Algeria, nobody takes this guy seriously. In fact, the only reason I write about him once in a while is because I like to inject humor into my blog-in between my outbursts of righteous anger and indignation, of course.

One might also ask if an Algerian newspaper were likely to print a critical review of Cole's book on Mohammad. I think not.

At any rate, Algerian readers have now been alerted to this magnum opus of the Wizard of Ann Arbor. They would do well to rush on down to the nearest book store (wherever that is) and pick up a copy. Look in the best seller section next to the latest Arabic-language copy of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. (That also gets rave reviews in Algeria.)

Sweden: Christian Church in No-Go Zone Hit With Molotov Cocktails

Tensta (Stockholm)

The Stockholm suburb (aka No-Go Zone) of Tensta was hit by an attack against a Christian church during the hours of late Tuesday night-early Wednesday morning. The Swedish blog, SVT Nyheter (Swedish TV News), has a report which is translated by Fousesquawk.

Firebombs thrown at Church in Spånga

Tuesday night-Wednesday morning someone threw three Molotov Cocktails at the Spånga church. Windows were broken but nobody was injured by the firebombs.

- "We have no threats against us, but this is a strong symbolic act," says church pastor Jerker Alsterlund.

It was shortly after 4 am at the Spånga church. One Molotov cocktail was thrown at the entrance and two at the windows which were broken. Police have closed off the surrounding area for a technical investigation to be carried out Wednesday and the crime is being classified as arson.

"This is a strong symbolic act against a church. Why someone would want to do this I don't know. It might to awake disgust or provoke. We have no threat against or anything of that nature," says Jerker Alsterlund.

In December 2018, an explosive device was detonated at another parish hall just over one kilometer from the Spånga church, but which belonged to the same parish. The investigation never resulted in anyone being convicted.,

"That time, it was likely an experiment. This time it was worse when it is so clearly directed at the church," says Jerker Alsterlund.

The charge of the Light Brigade

Sweden: A Case of "Street Justice"?

Hat tip Nyheter Idag (Sweden)

Here is yet another testimony to Sweden's broken immigration system, another dead victim on the Swedish altar of political correctness.  Abbe "Blattelito" Alsaaadi, a social media personality (the Swedish word used in the article is "influencer"), had been sentenced to 18 years in prison for murdering his ex-girlfriend. An appeals court threw out the sentence and reduced the conviction to assault. In the end, Alsaadi's sentence was reduced to 3-1/2 years. Out on parole, he promised to continue his "sick lifestyle" as he waved his middle finger at Swedish society.

Apparently, Alsaadi wandered into the wrong no-go zone as he was chased down and beaten by a group of men (who I am guessing were not Swedes). They videotaped the attack and dedicated it to the deceased victim. Here is the report from Nyheter Idag. Translation by Fousesquawk.

Social Media figure acquitted for murder- beaten in suburb: "Once again, we see you here"

Caption below photo: Abbe "Blattelito" Alsaadi confirms beating in an Instagram post. Picture: Instagram facsimile/Twitter facsimile

Gothenburg: Social media figure Abbe "Blattelito" Alsaadi was beaten up in the Gothenburg suburb of Hjällbo. A video that shows the beating is being disseminated on social media, and is dedicated to Alsaadi's ex-girlfriend, Annie Andersson, whom Alsaadi was acquitted of murdering. Alsaadi was instead sentenced to a short prison term for violation of a woman's freedom and assault, and after his acquittal, promised to continue his "sick lifestyle".

Social media figure Abbe "Blattelito" Alsaadi was sentenced in April 2019 to 18 years in prison for having murdered his ex-girlfriend by drugging her and laying her in a bathtub. The motive, according to the prosecutor, was that Alsaadi wanted to protect his reputation as a social media figure.

But the appeals court overturned the judgment and sentenced him instead for among others, aggregated violation of a woman's freedom and assault to 3-1/2 years in prison.

In November 2020, Expressen reported that Alsaadi was released on parole. "I will continue with my sick lifestyle every day and lay it all out to hurt your eyes. I am not afraid of anyone, you are all little cockroaches!" wrote Alsaadi in a Facebook post in connection with his release.

Now Alsaadi has been beaten in the Gothenburg suburb of Hjällbo. In a video that is disseminated on social media, one sees a man chased by a group of men from a parking lot. The man falls and is beaten in the snow. "Once again, we see you here," a person says in the clip while others shout the name of the location, Hjällbo.

According to the video, which is dedicated to the deceased ex-girlfriend, Annie Andersson, it is Alsaadi who is being beaten. That is also confirmed by Alsaadi in an Instagram post.

In the post, Alsaadi claims that he has been showered with love, and that people are worried about him. He denies rumors that he was "pissed off", but since says that the video is genuine.

After a long harangue, in which he dares go wherever he wants, that he is protected by a large group of "guys", and that "nobody dares open his mouth" against him personally, Alsaadi says that he was beaten. According to him, he was attacked by "more than 15 persons".

Spain: Over 80 Migrants Jump the Border Fence at Melilla

Hat tip Faro TV (Spain), Vlad Tepes, and Gates of Vienna. Translation by Fousesquawk.

As Spain continues to struggle with the Covid virus, the migrants from North and Sub-Saharan Africa keep trying to get into the country. While many arrive by boat, others jump the fence at the Spanish border (with Morocco) enclave of Melilla, which is located on the African coast. Here is the latest report regarding 85-90 who got over the fence and now have to be cared for by Spain.

The Inauguration: Where Was the Riot?

Watching the inauguration today and the media's fawning coverage of it, I was gratified to note that there has been no outbreak of violence in Washington. This is not to criticize or mock the decision to have a massive National Guard presence. (My wife's nephew is standing guard at the White House as I write.) During the past week or so, I read a few messages on social media from conservative voices urging people not to go to Washington.

At any rate, it appears (as President Biden is making his way to the White House) that, at least today, we have had a peaceful transition of power-quite in contrast to what occurred in Washington 4 years ago when Trump was inaugurated.  Whatever doubts we may have about the honesty of the election, Biden is now president. We must accept that while reserving our right to continue to express our opinions and criticize when we feel it is appropriate.

Final thought: I heard a lot today about unity. That was a major theme of Biden's speech. Yet, we are still facing the prospect of an impeachment trial against Trump. There is talk about punishing and/or even de-programming Trump supporters, whatever that entails. The attacks on Trump and those who voted for him will continue. I would hope that Biden would take the lead in stopping that, but I am doubtful.

My gut feeling is that before the day is even over, all these words about unity will be ringing hollow.

Joe Biden's Disastrous Choice for HHS: Javier Becerra

Hat tip Life News and Frontpage Magazine

"I am nominating Javier Becerra for HHS Secretary."

Well, Joe Biden has done it again. He has made another horrible choice for his cabinet. For Secretary of Health and Human Services, he has nominated California Attorney General Javier Becerra. Pro-life groups are livid because Becerra is a pro-abortion activist.

Aside from his enthusiastic pro-abortion stance, Becerra has been a big advocate for illegal aliens in California, resisting President Trump's tougher policies on that issue.

Out here in California, we are quite familiar with this leftist. Things could have been a lot worse. Biden could have nominated Becerra for US Attorney General.

Foosball: Chiefs Eliminate Brownshirts 22-17 and Hitler Reacts

My latest Hitler parody masterpiece.

On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs, with star QB Patrick Mahomes out with a concussion in the 4th quarter, managed to hold off and defeat the Cleveland Brownshirts 22-17. The play that made the difference was when Brownshirt receiver, Rashard Higgens, fumbled the ball as he was diving for a touchdown and was hit by a KC tackler. The Brownshirts were thus eliminated, ending their hopes for the first Super Bowl appearance.

Back in his bunker in Berlin, longtime Brownshirt fan, Adolf Hitler, heard the news from his generals. He did not take it well.

Belgium: Palestinian Skaters Harass Jewish Pedestrians

Hat tip Joods Actueel (BE). Translation by Fousesquawk.

The Belgian Jewish new site, Joods Actueel, is running a YouTube video that has garnered 2 million views. It shows two Palestinians from Gaza, twin brothers and "refugees" (because all Palestinians are officially recognized as refugees) skateboarding through a Jewish neighborhood in Antwerp waving a Palestinian flag and harassing Jewish pedestrians. The actual video is below. The written article is in Flemish (Dutch) and translated by Fousesquawk.

Video of Palestinian skaters harassing Jews-Millions of views

In YouTube videos, we see Amjad and Adham Saleh, twin brothers from Gaza, literally making the streets and sidewalks of the Jewish neighborhood of Antwerp unsafe. They ride with a Palestinian flag  at high speed past people and shout, "Free Palestine". They harass Jewish by-passers, do not obey traffic rule,s and are a downright danger to their fellow citizens. The videos have been viewed more than 2 million times.

N-VA (Parliament Member-Flemish Alliance) Michael Freilich condemns the behavior and warns against the importation of the Middle East conflict onto our streets. "These twin brothers are from Gaza and fled five years ago to Belgium. They got asylum here, housing, and a job. So it is especially regrettable they harass people, (and) they should know better. Jews in Antwerp are not Israeli citizens, rather Flemish."

Jewish Forum

The FJO (Forum of Jewish Organizations in Belgium) lodged a complaint with the UNIA and asked that the case be investigated. According to lawyers, there are several crimes, such as offenses against traffic rules,(and)  harassment with the aggravating circumstance that specifically Jews were targeted (anti-Semitism). And this could be described as an unauthorized demonstration. Finally, the concerned videos could raise questions over the assimilation of refugees.

Finally, Freilich extends his hand to the brothers. "It would be nice if they made a video about and with the Jewish community instead of inciting against them. Surely, given the enormous number of followers they have reached with their videos. That would be a positive message for society."

Fousesquawk comment: Michael Freilich is a member of the conservative Flemish Alliance Party (VA) and former editor of Joods Actueel.

It is hard to put into words how disgusting this video is. It illustrates the ingratitude of these two jerks who were accepted into Belgium as "refugees" five years ago and perform stunts like this. They should be sent packing back to their Hamas-run paradise of Gaza. But they won't be. Until they actually kill somebody, they will be left alone to continue their antics. And Belgium's Jews will be left to fend for themselves.

"Research" at Ohio State

Hat tip Campus Reform

Ohio State: Home of the "Bugeyes"

"Researchers" at THE Ohio State University have found that LSD may help minorities cope with stress caused by racism. Campus Reform has the details on this "important medical breakthrough".

Below is the peer review.

On a serious note, the idea that blacks and other minorities should use drugs like LSD to cope with racism strikes me as an idea that could have been concocted by the KKK.

How are we supposed to take our universities seriously when they keep coming up with madcap stuff like this? Here we are 50 years removed from Timothy Leary (a professor at Harvard, no less) and we have come full circle.

Ohio State should stick to football. It's what they do best.

Kristin Clarke-Joe Biden's Disastrous Choice for Asst AG for Civil Rights

Hat tip Frontpage Magazine

"I am nominating Kristin Clarke for Asst. AG for Civil Rights."

President-elect Joe Biden has nominated Kristin Clarke to be Asst. Attorney General for Civil Rights in the in-coming Justice Department. By any measure, this is a terrible choice.

Joseph Klein has written a piece in Frontpage Magazine that clearly documents why Clarke is a bad choice.

Clarke, as noted in the Frontpage piece, has expressed regret at having invited Jew-hater Tony Martin to speak at Harvard when she was a student there and head of the Black Student Union. We can all be forgiven for the dumb things we did in college, and many people have changed their thinking as they get away from academia and get older. Does she still think that black people are physically and mentally superior to others because of their melanin? God only knows. But it is highly questionable whether Clarke has really evolved.

I do not begrudge Clarke for fighting for the cause of black civil rights. But aligning yourself with Jew-haters like Tony Martin and arguing for black supremacy casts real doubt on her suitability for the position of Asst. AG for Civil Rights.

Still there is the question: Should we discount her record in college due to her youth? People do evolve. But has she?

More recently, Clarke has expressed support for the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement against Israel (BDS). In addition, she has supported the teaching of Critical Race Theory and defunding the police.

Will this be the new DOJ? I don't have a problem with someone who will be an advocate for black causes that are just-as the Civil Rights Movement was a just cause. But will she be an advocate for anyone else?

It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out what is needed in this important position; someone who will look out for the rights of everyone-with malice toward no one. Clarke does not fit that bill.

Sweden: Escaped Killer Captured

Hat tip Samtiden (SE): Translation by Fousesquawk.

No more trips to the mall for you

Caption: Shot a man to death from behind in a pizzeria, sentenced for murder and escaped. Now he has been arrested by chance. Photo: Expressen TV

Last July, we reported the story of a convicted murderer, an immigrant gang member, who escaped from custody while on a supervised visit to a local mall!! It is now reported that the 19-year-old killer has been captured by police. He is identified as Abdirizak Abdimalek Osman.

Killer on the run caught by chance

15 January 2021

Killer Abdirizak Abdimalek Osman is under arrest. He escaped from juvenile detention in July and has been free since then.

It was by chance that he was arrested in a basement room in Hjulstra on Thursday, Aftonbladet reports. The preliminary investigation leader in the police is silent, however.

"I can neither confirm nor deny at this time."

The now-19-year-old Osman shot a man to death from behind in a pizzeria when he was 16. He was sentenced to only a few years in juvenile detention, but from there, he escaped last summer without his guards intervening. The expression, "revolving doors in the prison system," has gained new relevance.

He has since been free for a half year. He was arrested in the company of others for new criminal suspicion. Police probably did not know who he was when they intervened against the gang.

Fousesquawk comment: It is easy for us here in the US to shake our heads at what Sweden is doing. Before we get too smug, we should realize that this stuff is coming here. We are going to have a new Department of Justice whose priority is not going to be locking up criminals. (They'll probably be too busy coming after us conservatives and Trump supports. In San Francisco and Los Angeles they have DAs who basically don't believe in incarceration.

The insanity is spreading worldwide.

The Brussels Riots: Follow-Up

-Photo: Le Libre (BE)

"Following these events, during which 15 police officers were injured in total, Kelly explains that she has lost all of her motivation. She asks herself if she still wants to be a police officer in Brussels, a city where respect for the uniform is lost, according to her. 'The prosecutor's office doesn't pursue (these cases), and the judges give out ridiculous punishments. We are not supported. The motivation is still there, but more than ever, we have the impression of being alone, abandoned by politics and justice. This demonstration should never have been authorized,' she laments."-Le Libre

The Belgian capital of Brussels was hit by riots this week over the death of a 23-year-old immigrant while in police custody. Here is what we posted this week from the Flemish (Dutch)-language daily, De Morgen.

Here is an article today from the Belgian French-language daily, Le Libre.  It recounts the experience of a female police officer who was injured during the riots. Translation by Fousesquawk.

The female police officer beaten during the protest in Brussels feared for her life: "Without my (protective clothing) I probably wouldn't have survived"

Posted 1-15-21 at 3:45 pm- Updated 1-15-21 at 3:52 pm.

Fortunately, the policewoman feels better today.

The demonstration in tribute to the young Ibrahima this Wednesday evening gave way to riots and scenes of extreme violence. Among the videos disseminated that evening, we can see a policewoman being kicked while she is still on the ground. If today, she is almost recovered, nevertheless, she had to be hospitalized because she showed signs of paralysis. The day after her attack, the officer recounted the events with our colleagues from Nieuwsblad. "I have just gotten out of the hospital. Last night the tingling sensation in my legs disappeared. I still have pain all over but the pain medication relieves (it), I am covered in bruises, but I will probably make a full recovery."
Kelly, mother of a little 9-year-old boy, was called in for backup after she had finished her service after the incidents in progress in Schaerbeek (district in Brussels). The policewoman explains that a group of rioters rushed her and her colleagues as they were trying to secure a street. She lost her balance and wound up on the ground, for several seconds, she was kicked in the belly and face. "Suddenly, I heard a man scream. He asked them to stop and told them that I was a woman, not a man. It was a resident of the district, a Moroccan, I believe. He saved me from these young men by intervening. My colleagues were able to get rid of their attackers and immediately took me under their (wing). I am very grateful to this man and to my colleagues. If I wasn't wearing my robocop protective clothing, I probably wouldn't have survived," she confides.
Following these events, during which 15 police officers were injured in total, Kelly explains that she has lost all of her motivation. She asks herself if she still wants to be a police officer in Brussels, a city where respect for the uniform is lost, according to her. "The prosecutor's office doesn't pursue (these cases), and the judges give out ridiculous punishments. We are not supported. The motivation is still there, but more than ever, we have the impression of being alone, abandoned by politics and justice. This demonstration should never have been authorized," she laments.

The Muslim Brotherhood in America (CAIR)

Hat tip Ledarsidorna (Sweden)-Translation by Fousesquawk

Swedish writer Johan Westerholm is the author of a Swedish language book entitled, Muslimska Brödraskapet: Islamismen i Sverige (Muslim Brotherhood: Islamism in Sweden). He has written the below article for the Swedish blog, Ledarsidorna. The article specifically concerns the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has documented ties to the Egyptian-based Muslim Brotherhood. In this article, Westerholm expresses the view that with the election of Joe Biden and the takeover of Congress by the Democrats, the position of CAIR and the MB will increase. As an example, he cites a letter written to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg asking him to take measures against expressions of hate against Muslims. The below article is translated by Fousesquawk.

Muslim Brotherhood strengthens its influence over the American Congress

The Muslim Brotherhood's most influential North American networking organization, CAIR, is advancing its position. The (Muslim) Brotherhood now has support from 30 American members of Congress.

Earlier in December, one of the Muslim Brotherhood's largest and most influential  North American networking organizations, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), was noted by Member of Congress Debbie Dingell (D-MI) and 29 other Congressional colleagues who together urged Facebook to take immediate action to eliminate anti-Muslim exaggeration platforms.

In the call to Facebook, examples were given "(how) platforms are used to de-humanize Muslims" as well as how Facebook stays passive in relation to this.

In the letter to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Dingell demanded that Facebook immediately put through the following measures:

* Form a working group consisting of higher-level executives with a focus on anti-Muslim issues and responsible for coordinating work within the company to confront hate groups and education against discrimination.

* Ensure that policies prohibit whites from using the platform for events and group sites in order to terrorize Muslims and other vulnerable groups.

* Undertake an independent review by third parties into the company's role in enabling anti-Muslim violence and genocide against Muslims.

* Commit to working proactively in discovering and removing anti-Muslim content and all other forms of hate before it is even seen.

* Conduct regular training against discrimination for all of Facebook's personnel.

*Education of key personnel in civil rights issues and common words, phrases or images used by hate actors in order to de-humanize and demonize Muslims.

That the Brotherhood's role will change, with increased influence with a Democrat president in the White House is considered inevitable. That CAIR will advance its positions will come as no surprise. An influence that will increase with the majority Democrats have in the American Congress.

The question is more how CAIR and Swedish organizations like Ibn Rushd, Islamic Association of Sweden, and Islamic Relief choose to tone down their connection with the ever more pressured Brotherhood.

But that the Brotherhood continues to make demands upon, among others, Facebook, with US Congressional support, is a reasonably expected development. Whether that is directly through network organizations like CAIR or via a second network which is not as clearly associated with the Brotherhood will be shown in the future.

Here is CAIR's reaction to the letter. The reader will note there is a slight difference in language as to the points demanded by Dingell et al and how Westerholm describes them. The meaning is the same, but there might be additional words in one or the other version. We have translated Westerholm's words. The actual Dingell letter can be viewed here.

I myself would like to respond to Dingell's letter. I can't speak for the whole world, but this site is not about dehumanizing Muslims as people. Yes, we have criticized Islam as an intolerant and violent  ideology. Yes, we have attacked organizations like CAIR because they masquerade as a civil rights organization while acting as a front for the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas. Yes, we speak against the Islamization of the West. Yes, we criticize the insane immigration policies of Western Europe because its own citizens are being killed on an almost daily basis by refugees, asylum-seekers, and migrants from the Islamic world, people who have no intention of assimilating or contributing anything positive to the countries they choose to go to.

But it would be unfair to paint every single Muslim with the same wide brush, and this site has always spoken out when innocent Muslims were targeted, such as the Christchurch, New Zealand massacre.

But where is the internment and genocide against Muslims that Dingell speaks of? No decent person is advocating that. If Dingell is concerned about genocide, she should direct her attention to what ISIS was carrying out recently in Syria and Iraq against Yazidis and Christians. Maybe she should direct her attention to the persecution carried out against religious minorities in virtually every Muslim-majority nation. To speak out against these outrages is not hate. It is not human rights abuse. It is no more wrong to do so than to speak out about what Nazi Germany was doing from 1933-1945. It is also legitimate to discuss the connections between Islamic teachings and the horrors we are seeing today. Does that incriminate all Muslims? No. Does that justify treating innocent Muslims as second class citizens? No.

However, Mr Westerholm is correct: Under this new administration, they will be coming after those who speak out. Under this administration, there will be no investigation into what organizations like CAIR really represent. I have no doubt, Zuckerberg will do their bidding.

The Democrats Literally Kicking the Dead Horse

This article first appeared in New English Review.

The Democrat party continues to sink to new lows. With the support of ten Republicans, the Dems in the House of Representatives have brought impeachment back to the country, just days before President Trump leaves office. Trump now stands as the first US president to be impeached twice. Is that the point of it all, or is the point to keep Trump from running again in 2024?

It is clear that this is a pointless vendetta. Not only that but the soon-to-be Democrat majority in the Senate, realizing there is no time to conduct a Senate trial, now plans to start the trial after Joe Biden takes office. In other words, Trump will be tried after he leaves office. Hey! Why not start impeachment proceedings against Woodrow Wilson while we're at it?

Aside from the absurdity of it all, why are we putting the country through this again? Isn't the country divided enough? Hasn't Biden asked the country to come together now? Well, he can forget about that. A Senate trial against former President Trump is going to leave about half the country outraged and can only increase extremism on some parts of the right in this country. It will also increase fears that the all-powerful Democrats are coming after all of us who say things they don't like. In other words, our First Amendment rights are in real danger. The Democrat party, aligned with their allies in Facebook, Twitter, Google, and YouTube etc, are really going to crack down on conservative voices. The universities, already bastions of leftist censorship, will really feel emboldened now. This could out to be the snowball that turns into an avalanche.

Consider this: They want to go after Trump at this late stage because of the words he uttered on January 6 that allegedly "instigated" the riot at the Capitol. I have read the transcript of the speech. Yes, he encouraged the crowd to march to the Capitol. That they did so was not wrong in itself. What Trump did not encourage them to do was to breach the Capitol, wreck the place, and put a stop to the Electoral College proceedings.

I wonder how many of these Democrats were calling for the head of Al Sharpton after he gave his fiery speeches in the midst of the deadly Crown Heights riots in 1991. Four years later, in 1995, there was "Reverand Al" again stoking the flames which helped lead to the murder of 7 people at Freddie's Fashion Mart in New York. MSNBC never cared about all that because they gave him his own talk show where he could join the chorus calling for Trump's head.

Joe Biden has already signaled that he doesn't think another impeachment trial is in the best interest of the country. Now we will see how much power he will wield as president. Is he the leader of the Democrat party? Or is it Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, or soon-to-be-anointed Kamala Harris?

You don't have to be a fan of Trump to see the hypocrisy in all this. They say Trump should not be in office one more minute, let alone a week. But they cannot stop him from filling out his term. All they do now is conduct a trial after the prisoner has already died, so to speak. Whether they can get enough Republicans to give them the necessary 2/3rds majority necessary to convict is another question.

It is not just about Trump; the whole thing reeks of, "We have won it all and now we are going to destroy all of you." The new Justice Department will vigorously investigate groups like the Proud Boys, Boogaloo Bois, and Qanon. Perhaps, they should as to the extent they were allegedly involved in the events of January 6. But will they investigate Black Lives Matter and Antifa just as vigorously? What if, after conducting their kangaroo trial of Trump, it is found that Antifa was also involved on January 6 posing as MAGA folks?

Whatever happened to the old adage, "Let's don't make a martyr out of the guy"? The Democrats would do well to remember that. Trump is just days away from being history. Let the man go off in peace and let's see if Joe Biden can really close the chapter, take control of his party, and bring the country back together. I am speaking rhetorically, of course.

Belgium: Brussels Erupts in Riots

Breaking: Apparently, this riot in Brussels is still on-going.

On Saturday evening, a 23-year-old year man was arrested after he fled from police during a police stop on a gathering in violation of Covid regulations. The man, identified as Ibrahima B., reportedly collapsed at the police station and later died at the hospital.

This afternoon in Brussels, a demonstration at the police station deteriorated into a riot. The below article from the Flemish (Dutch)- language newspaper, De Morgen, is translated by Fousesquawk. We are currently working on providing sub-titles to one of the videos found in the below link.

Riot after a demonstration for deceased arrestee: Protesters throw stones,  water cannon deployed

More than 500 demonstrators gathered this afternoon at the police headquarters where 23-year-old Ibrahima B, died Saturday after his arrest. The young man was earlier arrested in the area of the Brussels-North station. At first, the protest was peaceful, but around 4 pm, the atmosphere became worse. Protesters threw stones and set fires; riot police are at the scene en masse and have deployed a water cannon.

- Editorial Office and Belga, 13 January 7:07 pm

More than 500 people gathered to demonstrate at the police headquarters, although only 100 people were allowed to gather. Just about 100 people were stopped by police before the beginning of the demonstration. About 400 demonstrators are reported to have gathered at police headquarters on the Brabant Street.

Friends, family members, and sympathizers of the (23-year-old) wanted to ask for clarity over his death. Around 4 pm, the atmosphere worsened. Stones and fireworks were thrown at the police, and demonstrators shouted, "Police, murderers". In the tumult, a window of a police car was destroyed. Here and there, small fires were set.

Several rioters moved about in a cat and mouse game with police to the Liedtsplein (square) in Schaarbeek. They smashed windows of a police post and set fire to the office, according to Het Laatse Nieuws (news outlet). The atmosphere is still very turbulent, and riot police are at the scene en masse.

The riot police are massively present in the area of the North Station.  The water cannon has been used several times against the demonstrators. Officers initially tried to send the demonstrators home, but the calls received little response. The organizers of the demonstration also unsuccessfully did everything they could to calm things down. One youth of 17 was taken injured to the hospital. According to witnesses, he was hit by police with a  nightstick, reported Het Laatste Nieuws. According to Belga, one person was injured after a fall. At the moment, nothing has been communicated by the police as to arrests.

King Philipp

Noteworthy: Close by the riot, was the car of King Philipp, recognizable by the license plate "1". A police source confirmed to Het Laatste Nieuws that the prince was in the car. The car was protected by the police and was not pelted by protesters. According to the press agency, EPA, the vehicle of King Philipp was en route from his workplace in Brussels to Laken Castle.

"Crucial Moments"

The 23-year-old Ibrahima B. was arrested Saturday evening about 7 pm at the North Station. According to the prosecutor's office, police there stopped a group of people who had gathered and thus, were not following the Corona regulations. Ibrahima reportedly ran and was arrested after a chase. The young man was subsequently brought to police headquarters on Brabant Street, where he reportedly collapsed. The police reportedly called an ambulance, which took the young man to the hospital. There, Ibrahima reportedly died around 8:20 pm.

According to the family's lawyer, the police reportedly let the young man lay on the ground for 5 minutes, writes Bruzz. "The several minutes without care are crucial moments in which Ibrahima's life could have been saved. The officers let him die," says attorney Alexis Deswaef. "That is unacceptable. Unfortunately, we see that is no exception in Brussels."

"The family of the deceased young man and their counselor met this morning with the King's Prosecutor to get answers to a number of their questions," says the prosecutor's spokesperson, "and to (be assured) that all means have been and will be utilized to provide clarity over what occurred."

The investigation into the death is in the hands of the Investigation Service of Committee P. Meanwhile, Standing Committee P has opened an investigation but limited to the course of the notification of the family of the victim. They were only informed hours after the facts and reportedly received conflicting explanations.

"The Standing Committee P came to this decision on the basis of what appeared about this in the media," says spokesperson Nancy Van Barel. "Should elements emerge in the course of this criminal investigation that suggest one or another non-unlawful shortcoming, the  Standing Committee P will also investigate this further."

This report is supplemented with the latest developments.

Barbara Dansby at UC Irvine-UC Santa Barbara: The Universities Respond (Kind of)

A few days ago I posted an article about a scheduled Webinar at UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara featuring Dr Barbara Dansby, a professor of African-American studies and gender studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As advertised, I sent emails to both diversity officers at the respective institutions asking when they might sponsor conservative speakers. I also informed them that I would be happy to post their responses in the event they cared to dispute my belief that the universities do not sponsor conservative speakers.

Today, I have received replies from both diversity officers at these respective universities.

Here is my original email of January 6.

Dear Vice Chancellors Robnett and Haynes,

My name is Gary Fouse, and I am a former part-time teacher at UC Irvine Extension (1998-2016). I am writing to you regarding the January 13 Webinar featuring Dr Barbara Dansby, which is being sponsored by your offices.

Rather than go into details, I am linking what I have posted on my blog, Fousesquawk. I am not asking that the event be canceled since I do not believe in censoring the views of those I disagree with. What I am asking -challenging, in fact- is that you consider bringing in speakers with opposing points of view from those of Dr Dansby. If, in fact, you have in the past done so, please advise, and I will be happy to post your responses.

It is my opinion, based on experience and my own observations, that students in our universities are being exposed to a very one-sided view of issues affecting our country. While I have seen some conservative and/or pro-Israel speakers appear at UCI, they have invariably been invited by conservative student groups. On many occasions, they are disrupted.

Here is what I have already posted on my blog:

If you disagree with my characterization, I will be happy to post any responses you care to give.

Gary Fouse

Here is the response from Belinda Robnett of UC Santa Barbara:

Hi Gary,

Thank you for reaching out. I appreciate your concerns. The DEI Office strives to protect First Amendment rights, and we embrace a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our Office seeks to foster a climate of acceptance for all members of the campus community. Since I am new to UCSB, I do not yet have a history of programming. As an institution of higher learning, I anticipate that many different voices will be afforded the opportunity to express a variety of perspectives.

Best regards,

The DEI Office wishes to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this place and all land upon which the University is located, and pay our respects to the Chumash Elders past, present and future for they hold the memories, the traditions, and the culture of this area.

And the response from Douglas Haynes at UC Irvine:

Dear Mr. Fouse,

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your email--dated Tuesday, January 6--regarding the Anti-Blackness: Difficult Dialogues series. This year long series features a variety of leading national scholars whose research expertise contributes to deepening our understanding about the national reckoning regarding anti-Black racism in the United States.  The scheduled presentation by Professor Ransby entitled "A Crucible Moment for Race in America: The Crisis of Racial Capitalism and the Challenge of the Movement for Black Lives" is no different. As a public research university, we do not select scholars based on their political views.
