Statue of Ben Franklin at UPenn
Luigi Mangione
Can a statue be far behind?
Move over Ben Franklin. The university you founded has a new icon. That would be Luigi Mangione, the accused murderer of United Health Care CEO, Brian Thompson, and a former student at the University of Pennsylvania. At least according to UPenn English professor Julia Alekseyeva, who is singing the praises of Mangione and calling him the "icon that we all need and deserve".
Campus Reform has the story.
The past year has not been good for UPenn. Complaints of anti-Semitism, pro-Palestinian encampments, and the resignation (under pressure) of the university president. Now this. Is this all representative of the "values of blah blah blah" that the university professes to hold?
Regretfully, the answer is yes.
