In March, a Muslim male identified as Gokmen T. (we have his name as Gökmen Tanis) attacked a tram in the Dutch city of Utrecht and shot four people to death. On his first day of trial, the defendant had to be dragged out of his cell to appear in court. He was defiant and rude to the judge. Previously, he had admitted to police that he carried out the attack on behalf of Islam.

We will follow this trial. Unfortunately, the Dutch have no death penalty. Hopefully, they can find a way to keep this guy locked up for life.
