Attack in Utrecht

The suspect
-De Telegraaf

Monday morning at about 10:45 three people were shot and killed on board a tram in the old Dutch university town of Utrecht. At least five are wounded, some critically. There are still various reports floating around, but one thing is certain: Police are searching for a Turkish suspect identified as 37-year-old Gökmen Tanis. This man is known to police and, according to De Telegraaf,  was scheduled to appear in court in two weeks on suspicion of rape.

Emergency services attend the scene of a shooting in Utrecht, Netherlands, Monday.

There are also eyewitness reports that there were as many as four gunmen involved and that someone yelled, "Allahu akhbar!".  I am not sure this has been confirmed yet. The below article is in Dutch.

According to the Dagelijkse Standaard, ISIS has issued a statement that "they stand behind Tanis."

I will be talking with my Dutch language conversation partner via Skype this morning, and hopefully, can learn more.
