Three Dead in Kansas City Jewish Center Shooting

Reports gunman was yelling, "Heil Hitler"

Today, a gunman attacked a Jewish community center and nearby Jewish retirement home in Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City. Three people have been killed, and a 15-year-old boy is in critical condition. The below report is from the UK paper, Daily Mail.

Here is CNN's report. They say the suspect (in custody) is in his 70s. There is no mention of the "Heil Hitler" part.

CBS News says the man, in his 70s, was asking victims if they were Jewish before shooting them and was yelling, Heil Hitler" as he was being cuffed and taken away.

Let's wait and see who this guy is and what his motive was though if the Heil Hitler quote is real, I think we know the motive.

BTW: My first cousin and her ex who lived in KC used to frequent the JCC. It was open to all.

There is a man living in the Golda Meir senior housing who claims to have fought in the Czar's army. We all thought he must be exaggerating, since this was circa 2006, and even if he was 100 years old, he would have had to be about fourteen when he completed that line of service. Still, diversity, of a sort. Probably owned an original copy of the Protocols.
