In my just-posted report on the Sharia workshop at Loyola Marymount University, I quoted imam Muzammil Siddiqi's comments about Muslims living in Western countries. As previously stated, Siddiqi said that 1/3 of all Muslims are living in non-Muslim countries. He also said that once, Muslims were not supposed to emigrate to non-Muslim lands because the thinking was that they could not fulfill their Islamic obligations in a non-Muslim country. Thus, there were calls for them to return to their countries of origin. Now, said Siddiqi, that has gone by the boards since about 500 million Muslims now live in non-Muslim nations. He also stated that Muslims are commanded to follow the laws of the nations they live in.
In the wake of recent developments in France, a Moroccan cleric, Omar al-Haddouchi (aka Umar al-Hadushi, has called for Muslims to leave France referring to Europe as a toilet. He has also said this:
"Al-Hadushi provides several conditions which must be present for a Muslim to reside in a non-Muslim country, the most important of which is that he must be in a position to influence those around him, but he is not to be influenced by others."

It seems you and he want the same thing: Muslims who cannot acculturate should return to a Muslim nation, such as the one they came from.
