Persecution of Religious Minorities- Why No Comments From Our Government?

Hat tip Creeping Sharia

In the recently-concluded Sharia workshop at Loyola Marymount University, I asked panelists why the Muslim leadership in the US never speaks out against the persecution against non-Muslims in Islamic countries. I got a variety of weak responses. However, it is not just they who remain silent. It is our own government. Nina Shea of the Hudson Institute has written the below article on our government's silence.

I guess a reasonable answer would have been, "Why should we speak out when the US government doesn't speak out?"

According to 60 minutes the persecution of Christians in Judea and Samaria is being done by Israel.

I've been to Bethlehem and can verify that the ways the Muslims have desecrated the Church of the Nativity is a disgrace which should outrage every Christian.

The 60 Minute report was dishonest. That program has a history of fraudulent reporting. They did that false report on George Bush's military record that was a forgery. It forced the end of Dan Rather's career.

The Christians are leaving Palestinian areas because of the Arab/Muslim violence and hostility and not because of the inconvenience of the checkpoints.
