Imagine if the Drug Enforcement Administration were led by someone who advocated for the legalization of drugs. That's what we have now in our newly-confirmed commissioner of Customs and Border Patrol. Chris Magnus, who was confirmed Tuesday by the Senate, is Joe Biden's choice (or that of his handlers) to lead the fight against illegal immigration (sort of). Magnus, as police chief in Tucson, supported sanctuary cities. As if our Border Patrol agents don't have enough abuse to put up with. They have to wonder what in the world they are risking their lives for.

Law enforcement has called in the help of the army to prevent a possible violent escape of suspects in the Marengo trial from the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) in Vught. For example, barricades have reportedly been erected to prevent an escape by helicopter.

That is reported by The Telegraph. The most important heads in the Marengo-trial are held in the EBI, among them, Ridouan Taghi, Rico "the Chilean" R. and last Tuesda,y Said R., Taghi's most important accomplice, was flown in from Colombia.  

Commando Group

The fear of an escape has long been rife in Vught, especially after earlier this year it was reported that Taghi was preparing a break out from the heavily secured prison. He has reportedly set aside millions of euros for a commando group that could free him, perhaps with a helicopter.

According to the Telegraph, since last week, the guards in Vught have been assisted by a special team from the Defense Ministry. According to sources at Justice, some suspects in the Marengo trial reportedly still a plan for a violent escape with a helicopter.

"Set aside naivete"

Aside from the barricades against a possible landing, there are more visible and invisible measures taken by the team, but the newspaper is not allowed to report on them for security reasons.

Mayor Roderick van de Mortel of Vught will neither confirm nor deny the extra measures, but he says, "In a general sense, I can say this: That the police and defense are working closely together  in this situation is significant. It confirms the enormous danger that comes from a group of serious criminals. We really have to finally let go of the naivete over this. This category of criminals requires a different approach and treatment."

Previously, I have made several Hitler parody videos spoofing the Fuehrer and his favorite football team, the Cleveland Brownshirts. Hitler also had a favorite baseball team, the old St Louis Browns Brownshirts, who, after the 1953 season, unable to compete with the National League Cardinals in attendance, pulled up stakes, moved to Baltimore, and became the Orioles. You can look it up.

While in St Louis from 1902 to 1953, the Brownies usually came in last place fighting the Washington Senators every year for the cellar. Actually, it is a trivia fact that when Hitler reached the end of the line in 1945, the Browns were the defending American League champs, losing to the Cardinals in the 1944 World Series. The only reason the Browns won in 1944 was because most of the regular ballplayers were off fighting the war, and the Browns finally were able to compete. In fact, the Browns even had a one-armed center fielder in 1945 named Pete Gray. Needless to say, the Browns never won another pennant in St Louis. 1944 was the only year they appeared in the World Series.

So here is the scenario for today's Hitler parody with some of the years out of kilter. The Fuehrer is in his Berlin bunker being briefed on the hopeless situation in the war. However, he is more interested in what the Browns  Brownshirts are doing in the young 1945 season. Taking some literary license here, the generals inform him that they have moved to Baltimore and are back in last place.

Geert Wilders: "Netherlands is Full"

Dutch politician and leader of the Party for Freedom in the Netherlands, Geert Wilders, is an outspoken opponent of Islamic immigration into his country. For that reason, he has lived under tight security for more than 15 years due to threats on his life. He has also been prosecuted in his own country for alleged hate speech.

Wilders pulls no punches when it comes to Islam. He believes it is a violent ideology and poses a threat to the safety and freedoms of the Dutch people. He also makes the point that the country is full of migrants, asylum-seekers, and supposed refugees. The Dutch housing market also suffers from a severe shortage to the point that many Dutch families wait years for apartments. Yet, asylum-seekers go to the head of the list as soon as they arrive.

 In addition, there is the threat of terrorism, and violent crime is rampant. There is the notorious and violent Moroccan Mafia, whose leaders are now on trial for several murders and drug trafficking. The Turkish community is restive and becoming more militantly Islamic under the influence and meddling of Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. 

To make matters worse, the Jewish community in the country, who, historically, had found the Netherlands to be a place of refuge over the centuries, is now harassed by recent Muslim immigrants. 

The country not only has been a place of refuge for persecuted people over the centuries but due to its colonial past, also has long had a large foreign-born population mostly from Suriname and the Caribbean as well as Indonesia (a Muslim-majority country, no less). While that might have brought a certain increase in crime, it was nothing compared to what is happening now with more recent immigrants, predominantly from the Middle East, North Africa, and Afghanistan. 

So I would ask the reader to keep those things in mind while watching the below video. I am sure that Wilders is not referring to the traditional immigrant groups from the Caribbean and Indonesia which I listed above.

USC in the News-And it Has Nothing to Do With the New Football Coach

The big news at the University of Southern California isn't-or at least, it shouldn't be-the hiring of some big-time coach to lead the football team. Of more importance to the reputation of USC as an institution of higher learning is the fact that once again, anti-Semitism has reared its ugly head on the USC campus.

 It is not just some dopey student going off on hateful rants-several, in fact- against a specific group of people (in this case, Jews). The student had a position in student government. In fact, the student who was posting vile, anti-Semitic rants on social media was a "diversity, equity, and inclusion" senator.

As most universities do when anti-Semitism takes place on their campuses, as is frequently the case, USC has responded to the incident by condemning anti-Semitism but adding a few qualifiers.

As I always do when following campus issues, I check in with the campus newspaper, in this case, the Daily Trojan, to see how they are covering the matter-if at all. Thus far, I see no coverage of this matter on the Daily Trojan. (It is possible I have missed some article or op-ed posted on the DT and now no longer appearing on today's page.)

Like so many other American universities, this is hardly the first incidence of anti-Semitism at USC. Last year, we were talking about Rose Ritch, a Jewish student at USC, who was driven from a position in student government because she was Jewish and a supporter of Israel.

Referring back to the Daily Trojan, they are currently running the second of a two-part series on a recent interview with USC president Carol Holt on November 19. The subject was how she is responding to a series of campus scandals. There is no mention of the Rose Ritch incident or any other reference to campus anti-Semitism. Of course, there is no end of articles amply demonstrating the leftist bent of the newspaper-like virtually all campus newspapers.

France Arrests Accused Khashoggi Killer

French police have arrested a man accused of being one of the killers of Saudi journalist and dissident, Jamal Khashoggi, in Istanbul in 2018. Khalid Alotaibi was arrested at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris as he was about to board a flight to Riyadh. It is expected that he will be extradited to Turkey.

Khashoggi affair: One of the alleged killers of the Saudi journalists arrested in France

One of the Saudi suspects in the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in October 2018 was arrested Tuesday in France, at Charles de Gaulle Airport, where he was preparing to depart for Riyadh, according to the police. The man had been sought by Interpol pursuant to an arrest warrant for murder issued by Turkey.

This ex-member of the Royal Saudi Guard had been sought by Interpol pursuant to an arrest warrant for murder issued by Turkey in 2019, according to RTL information.

According to a police source, the French public prosecutor will begin the extradition procedure to Turkey. At the end of his detention (period) Wednesday, he will appear before the prosecutor, who will notify him of the arrest warrant.

Jamal Khashoggi, formerly close to Saudi power, of which he had become a fierce detractor, was murdered on the premises of the consulate of his country in Istanbul, on October 2, 2018, by a commando of agents from Saudi Arabia. His dismembered, body has never been recovered.

A Jewish organization in Europe has reacted in outrage at the use of a yellow star on a banner carried in Brussels on Sunday in protest against the Covid restrictions. The implication of the banner is that society is treating non-vaccinated people as Jews were treated in Germany in the 1930s and 40s. Many Jews see this as a trivialization of the Holocaust.

"It makes me sick.": The presence of the yellow star during a demonstration in Brussels shocks a Jewish association  

The European Jewish Association reacted in outrage Sunday at the yellow star represented on one of the banners of demonstrators participating in the march organized in Brussels against the health measures taken by the government to stem the spread of the Corona virus. "It's hard for me to see the similarity between being asked to get vaccinated during a pandemic-or to assume the consequences if you don't-and the systematic extermination of 6 million Jews in the death camps, the gas chambers, or in the open-air common graves," said M. Margolin. 

"It makes me sick to think that so few people understand the pain that such banners provoke and that so few people truly realize the enormity and the magnitude of the Holocaust. To those who marched today with a large yellow star, I say: Don't do it. It is of little importance what you think of the health restrictions, nobody is tattooing your arms, nobody is putting you in cattle trucks, and nobody wants you, your family, and your loved ones to die.

First of all, make sure you have the knowledge and know what this yellow start really represents," the president of the European association reiterated.

Fousesquawk comment: I find it hard not to agree with Rabbi Margolin. And I say this as one who has worn a facsimile of the yellow star at a public event-to protest anti-Semitism-and who has often used Nazi imagery to protest present-day anti-Semitism. Take issue of that if you will, but there is a difference.

Whatever you or I think about restricting the movements of non-vaccinated people (and I have my reservations), it is a stretch to compare the isolation of unvaccinated people with the discrimination/isolation imposed on Jews by the Nazis even before the Holocaust began. Jews were forced to wear yellow stars, were not allowed to frequent restaurants, their shopping hours were restricted, etc. etc. Not because they had not been vaccinated, but because they were Jews. Eventually, they were forced to live in ghettos in occupied Eastern European countries during the war, while in Germany, several families were forced to live in a single designated "Jewish" residence" (before they were rounded up to be shipped East.)

To me, the use of the image of the yellow star should be reserved to protest modern-day anti-Semitism and should not be hijacked for other causes.

The Toxicity of Zahra Billoo (CAIR-SF)

Zahra Billoo is the San Francisco chapter leader of CAIR. I have seen her speak in person twice at UC Irvine. The first occasion was in January 2013 when she tried to sell Islam to UCI students, during Islam Awareness Week. On that occasion, her topic was women's rights under Islam! However, in answer to one of my questions during q and a, she had to acknowledge that under Islam, the penalty for adultery was death-for both men and women, she stressed. 

The second occasion was in April 2019 during the annual hate week against the Jewish state of Israel sponsored by the Muslim Student Union. It was on this occasion that I came away with the impression that Zahra Billoo is a woman who sees enemies around every corner.

Take my word for it. This woman is toxic. On second thought-don't take my word for it. You can watch for yourself. Both of the above links have videos taken of the events by Yours Truly. Here, (courtesy of Israellycool.com), Billoo is speaking last week before the annual convention of American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), an equally toxic organization co-founded by radical UC Berkeley professor Hatem Bazian, largely for the purpose of financing Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), which Bazian also co-founded.  

Note how Billoo uses the "Zionist" dog whistle to attack Jews and Jewish organizations like the Anti-Defamation League (ADL, the Jewish Federation, Hillel etc. ("polite Zionists") What this is is nothing more than thinly-disguised Jew-hatred.

Personally, I don't know what Billoo has against ADL, the Jewish Federation, or Hillel. They've never been a problem for the likes of Billoo because they don't really fight back against campus anti-Semitism-at least in Orange Country, their track record is pretty bleak. But I digress.

Note how Billoo goes out of her way to caution the audience against thinking that any "Zionist" no matter how progressive, can be their friend. Indeed, her words remind me of that verse in the Koran, sura 5 verse 52, where it tells Muslims not to take Christians and Jews as their friends.

 [5:52] O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. And whoso among you takes them for friends is indeed one of them. Verily, Allah guides not the unjust people.

I also want to point out Billoo's words about just because you are in the Girl Scouts together, watch how the conversation goes when you bring up "what is happening in Palestine. I don't want to paint all Muslims with a wide brush here as does Billoo with Jews. But I have personally had many experiences in conversations with Muslims and observed how the conversation went when the Israeli-Palestinian conflict came up.  How the smile disappears and is replaced by anger and emotion. I have seen it not only with people from a Palestinian background. I have seen it with Muslims with backgrounds in Egypt, Somalia, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan etc. etc. In the above clip, Billoo states that she herself is not Palestinian. I always ask why Muslims from other parts of the world, who have nothing in common with the Middle East other than religion, feel so strongly about this particular conflict.

The answer is easy. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict, first and foremost, is a conflict not over land and who the rightful owner is, rather it is a conflict over religion. To Muslims everywhere, the (mostly-Muslim) Palestinians must be the good guys and the (mostly-Jewish) Israelis must be the bad guys. In Koranic thought, it is the default position.

Check out the Muslim Student Association chapters on most campuses. There will be some of Palestinian background, but most have backgrounds from Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and many other predominantly Muslim countries. And yet, these student groups, along with their sister organization, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), have brought turmoil and anti-Semitism to their respective campuses all due to the Israeli-Palestinian issue.

Zahra Billoo is an American. As an American, she should not be telling her audiences not to take "Zionists" as friends. She should be telling them that as Americans, they should take Jews as friends because they are Americans too. The fact that they disagree on a particular issue that involves a region on the other side of the world doesn't change the fact that we are all Americans. But that is not Billoo's message. Her message is one of hate and division. She is an anti-Semite and a hate monger in my view. Her use of the word, "Zionist" is part of the playbook. It simply means Jew.

Mali: Another Horrific Jihadist Attack

On December 3,  31 people were killed when terrorists attacked a truck in which they were riding to a fair in the African country of Mali. Times of Israel has an English-language report here.

Mali: Multiple condemnations after terrorist attack between Songho and Bandiagara

Between fear and indignation, the condemnations come in a flurry after the armed attack perpetrated against a truck en route to the fair at Bandiagara on Friday, December 3, 2021.

Unidentified armed bandits attacked and burned a truck transporting fair-goers, a government statement informed, which established that there were 31 deaths, 17 wounded, and the truck incinerated.

The government presents its "saddest condolences to the bereaved families and reassures the public that all measures will be taken to arrest and punish the perpetrators of this ignoble and tragic act," the statement says.

This tragedy has brought reactions from several parties across the national political spectrum. Rally for Mali (RPM) condemned the "cowardly and barbaric attack against civilians". The Weaver Party, "bows before the memory of the innocents, and wishes a prompt recovery to the injured."

In the same vein, Parena (Party for National Rebirth) "energetically condemns this appalling massacre and asks the authorities to search, by every means, for the barbarians and their accomplices who have committed this monstrous crime, to bring them to justice." The party expresses also its, "compassion and presents its condolences to the grieving families of the victims."

Other parties have reacted like the Adema-PASI (African Party for Solidarity and Justice), which condemns with firmness, "this barbaric attack," in saluting the "promptness in which medical aid and the military were deployed."

For its part, Codem (Convergence for the Development of Mali) condemns a "cowardly and barbaric attack and presents its condolences to the families of the victims and the entire Mali nation in this painful circumstance."

In a  statement published Saturday, 4 December, the special representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Mali, El-Ghassim Wane, condemns with firmness "an ignoble attack".  The head of the Minusma also presents his "condolences to the bereaved families and wishes a prompt recovery to the injured. As well to the government and the entire Malian people".

Remembering San Bernardino 6 Years Later

On December 2, 2015, two Muslim terrorists, (a husband and his wife)  murdered 14 people in cold blood in San  Bernardino, California. The 6th anniversary of that atrocity has been noted today in a Frontpage Magazine article I am cross-posting here.  The writer is Lloyd Billingsley.

Not only did counter-demonstrators show up, people I referred to at the time as Antifa types, but at a certain point in our rally, our side marched down to the actual site of the murders to observe a moment of silence. Nobody from the other side thought to do the same. That says a lot, doesn't it?

Netherlands: The Continuing Problem of Buses in Ter Apel

Earlier, we reported on the problem that Dutch bus drivers are having with unruly passengers from asylum centers in the town of Ter Apel, where the country's largest asylum center is for refugees. Many of these so-called refugees (mostly from nations not at war) refuse to pay and some have abused the drivers. Last month, Ter Apel set up a segregated bus service just for asylum-seekers (HT Jihad Watch). 

That has failed to solve the problem, and now, drivers are refusing to make stops where the asylum-seekers wait for buses.

Bus drivers take action due to nuisance of (safe country) asylum-seekers: "This can no longer be tolerated". 

Bus drivers who work on the Qbuzz lines 72 and 73 between Emmen and Ter Apel are taking action Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a safer work environment. The drivers are fed up with years of threats and abuse, mostly by asylum-seekers on the lines. That is the position of Edwin Kuiper, director of FNV Regional Transport.

The bus drivers earlier this week asked Qbuzz whether more security could be deployed on the buses and stops to prevent violent incidents. They received no answer. For this reason, the drivers will skip bus stops in Ter Apel in the coming days. Therefore, there is no bus traffic between Emmen and Ter Apel on lines 72 and 73.

I spoke recently with a bus driver who had just begun his shift. "At 7 in the morning, there were 5 annoying people at the bus stop who didn't want to pay, made things difficult, and caused a nuisance,"  Kuiper told Good Morning, Netherlands on NPO 1. "The bus driver had to call for assistance; finally it arrived. At any rate, that led to delays and bad humor".

According to Kuiper, it involved 5 (safe country) asylum-seekers from the asylum center. "That is something heard way too often," he says. (Safe country) asylum-seekers are asylum-seekers who have no chance of getting residence status because they come from a safe home country.

"Can no longer be tolerated"

JA21 party chairman Joost Eerdmans visited the asylum center in Ter Apel and the transporters about 3 weeks ago. "It is absolutely correct that they no longer do this," he told Good Morning Netherlands on NPO 1. "It is unacceptable, for these people, it can no longer be tolerated. Neither Qbuzz nor Arriva (the train) are intervening. The people are completely frustrated over what they are going through".

According to Eerdmans, caretaker state secretary Ankie Brokers-Knol (Justice and Security) has "totally ignored it", he says. "She should have intervened. There is also a shuttle bus, just for asylum-seekers, and there it happens all too often. There the government must stand out front."

Chris Cuomo: Why His Suspension from CNN Matters

 Chris Cuomo has been suspended indefinitely. from his anchor duties at CNN. Adding to his long list of transgressions and embarrassing incidents, this activist masquerading as a journalist has brought even more embarrassment to CNN. This week it was revealed that Chris had been using his journalistic contacts and resources to try and dig up dirt on women who had accused his brother, Andrew, then-governor of New York, of sexual harassment. 

What sets this apart from past incidents, as with his beer garden tirade against some guy who called him Fredo is that he used his professional resources and contacts for personal purposes-to help his brother, who was under fire for alleged improprieties with women. That indicates that he dragged his employer (CNN) into the mud with him.

To use an analogy, suppose that during my career with DEA, I had used the resources available to me as a law enforcement agent to dig up dirt on people who were not involved in any criminal activity, but were at odds-for any reason- with someone in my family. Let's say I had a brother who was being accused of the same improprieties that Andrew Cuomo has been accused of. Let's also say that I had used my position as a DEA agent to access arrest records, divorce records, raw intelligence, etc, against the women making the allegations. All for the purpose of discrediting them. That is an abuse of power and an abuse of my position in law enforcement. If I were caught doing something like that, I would be fired and possibly prosecuted as well.

Of course, Chris Cuomo is not a law enforcement agent. He is in the journalism business. I am not suggesting that he violated any law. I am no expert on the subject of journalistic ethics, but having dealt with enough of them in my life, I have formed opinions on journalistic ethics, and in my opinion, Cuomo violated his professional ethics. To what extent CNN resources were used to find dirt on Andrew Cuomo's accusers is something CNN should want to find out if they consider themselves a reputable news organization.
