Liberation Day in Italy Has Been Hijacked by the Pro-Hamas Mob

-Corriere della Sera

April 25 is considered Liberation Day in Italy following World War 2, and today is the 80th anniversary of these celebrations. Unfortunately, the day has now been taken over by far-left agitators and those supporting Hamas.

The blow article from Il Giornale condemns the actions of the protesters and is translated by Fousesqauwk.

This is how antagonists and Pro Pal killed April 25

With the silence of the left, today's festival has lost every connotation of true freedom

To call it extremism is a compliment. Only an ideological perversion could lead to- in the name of anti-fascism-.attacking demonstrators who took to the (streets) with European flags.

It happened yesterday in Turin, and the script is destined to repeat itself in Milan with the announced protest-aggression against representatives of the Jewish community and that of Ukraine (that is, against the people who today in Europe embody a true, heroic resistance against an invader, Putin).

Meanwhile, in Rome this morning, a Hamas flag was waved. Some Italian "Pro-Pal" activists, as soon as the presidio moved toward Piramide-under the wall of Porta San Paolo, to lay a wreath of flowers, began to wave the flag of the Islamist terror organization, a green banner with Arabic writing in white. Then other demonstrators (who were) present demanded that the hotheads take it down, and after a heated discussion, they succeeded. Finally, when the scuffles calmed down, the demonstrators left in a procession toward Spizzichino Bridge.

Protests against the Jewish Brigade, meanwhile, have also been reported in Cinisello Balsamo (Milan) and in Parma, where a group that was commemorating the Zionist formation-among the organizers was also an Iranian dissident- was surrounded by "Pro-Pal" and forced to leave the procession.

From Milan to Rome, to a myriad of other events is a bulletin of intolerance, of hate, and violent sectarianism. These fringes of fanatics are dominating the (streets) with the goal of transforming even the celebrations of liberation into the usual delirious demonstrations that sing the praises of Hamas and now invoke the "peace" of Putin.

And what does the official left do? Those moderate(s) turn the other way, take refuge in rhetoric, and pretend not to see, while groups, large and small, collectives, and unions cover up these threats and these attacks with lies and silence. And then they wonder why (so many Italians) stay away from this delirium.

April 25th would not be so divisive if it had not ended up in the hands of violent gangs and tolerated by most.

It is they, the violent ones, who are killing the best and most authentic spirit of this day, using a day of celebration for all to put in place an obscene representation of political and ethnic hate. And the cowardly left, which in words, cares a lot about April 25 but does nothing to defend it, is the first victim.

In addition, we have one paragraph in today's Corriere della Sera, describing the events in Milan, which is quite pertinent. Surviving members of the Jewish Brigade, volunteers who came from the British Mandate of Palestine to fight against the Germans in northern Italy in 1944 and 1945 under the British army, were harassed by the pro-Hamas protesters and had to march under police escort. What a disgrace!

Security cordon around the Jewish Brigade

The Jewish Brigade section in the April 25 procession, is now marching protected by a police security cordon. Several people on the sides of the road are booing them, telling them to leave the demonstration: " Criminals, you are committing a genocide", can be heard shouted. From the Jewish Brigade, they respond waving posters on which is written: "Resistance to terror", Resistance to radicalism", and "Resistance to the use of human shields".
