DOMESTIC. Prosecution has requested that the taxi driver who drove into a crowd of people in Borlänge Friday  be detained, suspected of attempted murder and aggravated assault. It concerns a Somali citizen, according to Nyheter Idag. He had an ongoing conflict with one of the people who was struck (by the car), but four others were injured.

It was on Friday evening that a 30-year-old taxi driver was arrested, suspected of attempted murder after he drove into a crowd of people in central Borlänge

According to initial information, one person was seriously injured.

But now all the plaintiffs have left the hospital, and nobody has serious injuries, prosecution authorities write in a press release.

Today a request was made for the suspected man be held in custody for attempted murder and aggravated assault.

It concerns a Somali citizen in his 30s. He is registered with the (Swedish) Tax Agency as immigrated in 2011, according to Nyheter Idag.

-One of the plaintiffs and the suspect are acquainted with  each other since earlier, and they have an ongoing conflict. The four were at the scene and were also hit, says prosecutor Eva-Lena Jansson, who is leading the investigation.
