While the news out of Italy and Spain has not been very good this past week, there is a sign of hope coming out of Germany. Alternatif fuer Deutschland (Alternative for Germany), the party that wants to stop the insane invasion of migrants into their country and which has been unfairly and inaccurately been demonized as neo Nazis, won local elections in the states of Brandenburg and Saxony-and won big.
Yet, AfD not only has to contend with their political enemies, like Angela Merkel and the Christian Democrat party (CDU), they have to contend with the liberal German press. In Germany, they refer to it as Lügenpresse (Lying press). In the above video, AfD co-leader Alice Weidel is interviewed by a polite but hostile reporter who tries to paint her into a corner. She handles it beautifully. The video is in German with sub-titles by Vlad Tepes and translation by Miss Piggy. Editing by Gates of Vienna.
