Francis and King Mohammed
(I think Francis is the one in white, but I'm not sure)
Pope Francis I's recent visit to Morocco featured a joint statement by him and Moroccan King Mohammed making a joint statement urging total religious freedom for Jerusalem, a strange statement in that the city and the nation of Israel already enjoy religious freedom for all faiths, much in contrast to the situation when it was under Jordanian occupation. In fact, as Fitzgerald points out, if any group has its religious freedom curtailed, it is Jews when they are prohibited from praying at the Western Wall.
Francis' latest statement and his reign as pope in general have been marked by submission to Islam. It is symptomatic of how Western political and religious leaders are bending to the will of the Islamic world. It is sickening. Francis should change his name to Pope Dhimmi I. It would be more fitting.
