One Fine Day at a SoCal Mall

Hat tip Counter Jihad Coalition

On Saturdays, my friends at the Counter Jihad Coalition (CJC) have a table set up at a local Los Angeles/Orange County area mall where they pass out literature about political Islam. It has been a struggle getting the required permission to use the mall, but once the legal issues were ironed out, it has also been a struggle to have adequate security on hand because on many occasions, some Muslims angrily object. It seems, however, that the mall, their security  and county sheriffs have recognized the possible threat.

Yesterday, our friends were confronted with a group of Muslims who objected to the table and the pamphlets. Part of the discussion was captured on camera. You will see that security was present. The man in the baseball cap (CJC) is a Christian pastor and former Muslim.

Here is a written description of the incident courtesy of CJC.

As stated in the written narrative, CJC also considers the attack in New Zealand to be a horrible crime. Innocent Muslims should never be targeted for violence because of the horrors being committed around the world by other Muslims in the name of Islam. That cannot stop us from having an open discussion about Islam and terrorism. Many of those who loudly object to the CJC displays don't seem to understand that in this country, we have freedom of expression as guaranteed by the First Amendment. The nature of Islamic terror and the threat it poses to our freedoms and our very lives must be open to discussion just as we can and should discuss the horrible event in New Zealand.
