Update on Murder Trial in Germany

Hat tip Vlad Tepes

This week we reported on the trial of an Afghan accused of stabbing a man to death in northwest Germany.

The defendant, identified as Seyed M. has been freed after the court ruled he killed the young man in self defense.

"The court heard Jose had put the Afghan in a headlock and punched him in the face, and that Seyed had initially tried to defend himself more ‘mildly’ with a glass bottle."

I don't want to say too much here because we don't have a lot of details and we are talking about German law. But I wonder if German law permits the stabbing of someone to death-6 times in the heart- as a defense against getting your butt kicked.

Just asking.
