Matteo Salvini Responds to Prosecutors in Sicily

Hat tip Gates of Vienna and Vlad Tepes

Prosecutors in Sicily have taken another step in their insane efforts to prosecute Italian interior minister, Matteo Salvini, for "kidnapping" based on his refusal to allow 167 migrants to disembark last summer from the ship, "Diciotti". Salvini has responded publicly (above).

It is truly scary when an interior minister is charged with crimes for merely protecting his country's borders and hence, its people. Italy is reeling under horrific crimes committed by some of these migrants. The country simply cannot continue to take in all these people who are brought across the Mediterranean by NGO ships from other nations.

Here in the US, we have seen how hand-picked judges from the 9th Circuit Court in San Francisco have issued rulings that say that President Trump cannot secure our border with Mexico. It is outrageous.

Salvini's fate apparently now goes to the Italian Senate, which will vote either to give him immunity or send him to trial.
