An African Immigrant Speaks out on African Migration to Italy

Hat tip Vlad Tepes and Gates of Vienna

Mohamed Konare is an African immigrant living long term in Italy. He is also a leader of a Pan African movement. In this interview he urges Italy to close its borders. His reasoning is interesting. Basically, he makes the argument that if hundreds of thousands of young Italians are leaving Italy every year in search of jobs, how are African migrants going to find a future in Italy? He also predicts a war between Italians and Africans if the country does not close its borders. The below video was translated into English by Fousesquawk and sub-titled by Gates of Vienna and Vlad Tepes. His statements are most interesting.

Note: The interview is not complete. It is an excerpt lasting about 4 minutes. Note also that Italian sub-titles are already present. I made a few minor corrections to the text and added the English text to synchronize with his voice as opposed to the Italian sub-titles, which were a bit off in places.
