Another Week of Horror

This article first appeared in Eagle Rising.

It has been yet another horrific week. We have seen the Syrian army once again launch a gas attack on its own people. Women and children-even infants died a horrible death prompting an outraged President Trump to order a cruise missile attack on the airfield from which the bombers took off.

Then the horrors of the Islamic world once again visited Europe. It was Sweden's turn. An Uzbek man, 39 years old, who had been denied asylum and disappeared rather than be deported, hijacked a beer truck and drove it into a department store killing four people and a dog while injuring 15. An eleven year old girl was literally cut in two as one leg was severed at the hip. The monster who did the deed has been arrested and has confessed-expressing happiness at what he did. Swedes meanwhile, seemed to react as they always do. They laid flowers at the scene of the attack, and their feckless prime minister expressed shock but determination that Sweden will remain an open and welcoming country.

And just today, Coptic Christians in Egypt were attacked once again in their churches as Muslim killers attacked two Easter services killing 43. It was another scene of mass carnage with severed limbs and headless bodies.

Allahu Akhbar.

There must be a special place in Hell for barbarians who gas women and children, blow up Christian churches, and drive trucks into crowds of innocent civilians. In the meantime, before they meet their maker, it seems their special place is to be among us as they force themselves into our countries (at least in Europe), force themselves upon the local women, force themselves onto the welfare rolls and plot acts of terror against civilized people who welcomed them as refugees.

A Jewish friend has expressed outrage at the  Egypt attack stating that Christians are not harming anybody and thanking God that he can live in a Christian country as a Jew. I would say the same thing about Jews. They are not harming anybody and only want to live in peace free from the persecution that is coming back to life-mostly due to that third Abrahamaic religion-Islam.

Last night, I had dinner with a German friend who now lives in America. He cannot fathom the madness that has taken over Europe, a continent seemingly bent on suicide. He thinks it is too late, and that my hopes of this year's election throwing the bums out are doomed to fail. "It is their choice," he added. If they choose to vote for the Merkels (Germany), the Ruttes (Netherlands), the Löfvens (Sweden), and the Macrons (France), then what more can anyone do but turn out the lights? In Holland, Rutte has already beaten back the only one who can save the country from itself, Geert Wilders.

It may very well be that after all is said and done, the Europeans are going to go back to their gardens and say that democracy was very nice while it lasted, but that it is time to, well, go along with the march of history and surrender to a barbarous life style that is bound to swallow them up.

Too bad. Europe was such a nice place after it recovered from World War II. Not anymore. Why they couldn't foresee the madness of importing millions of  7th century Muslims into their countries, who have no intention of assimilating,  and why they can't face the obvious solution of throwing them back out and closing their borders even in the face of this carnage and intolerable daily life is beyond my comprehension.
