A few days ago I reported that word was out that the Orange County Jewish Federation was not renewing the contract of their embattled CEO, Shalom Elcott.

My sources now tell me that while not officially announced by the Federation, it is definitely true. I am also informed by very credible sources that a search committee is looking for a successor and that Elcott is currently "on vacation" until his contract runs out. ( I don't know what that date is.)
Here is my question: Why is there no public announcement of this change by the Federation?
