French gendarmes raiding La Castellane in Marseilles
(Oops: Wrong photo)
Well, it's close enough. First Paris, now Marseilles. French police were met by automatic weapons fire when they tried to enter the "culturally-enriched" drug-dealing area of La Castellane. The incident occurred on the occasion of Prime Minister Manuel Valls to congratulate the cops for their "success" in fighting crime.

Gary, aren't American police met with automatic weapons fire when closing in on drug gangs, whatever "cultural enrichment" they may be ensconced within?
