This morning I was listening to LA-Based civil rights attorney Leo Terrell, with whom I don't usually agree, being interviewed on LA radio.. Terrell, who is black himself concluded that the grand jury hearing the Michael Brown case reached the correct decision based on the evidence. he also stated that Officer Darren Wilson acted correctly from a-z. Kudos to Mr Terrell for listening to the truth and the facts that were brought out.
Then none other than Al Sharpton came on the air speaking at a press conference in Ferguson. I didn't hear it all because both stations playing it switched off. In one case KOGO radio of San Diego inexplicably went to other news while radio host Dennis Prager couldn't stomach any more. What I heard from Sharpton was sickening. He basically indicted the DA and the Grand Jury for the decision not to indict. Never mind that those jurors, who included three blacks, saw more of the evidence than any of us. If there is more unrest in Ferguson tonight, Sharpton can take part of the blame. He was stoking the anger. I hope NBC, which has given him his own talk show on their cable network, MSNBC, is proud of this man who once again is trying to stir up a lynch mob. Once again he called on the feds to intervene ignoring the fact that the FBI was involved in the investigation hand in hand with the local police every step of the way.

This whole Ferguson thing is going to be very ugly. There is a valid need for discussion on the relationships between the black community and their police a discussion that should involve the police themselves. Unfortunately, I suspect that is going to be pushed into the background.

One of the problems with this debate is that criminal indictments are a poor gauge of institutional reform.
Whatever may be wrong with the Ferguson police department, the individual officer is entitled, like all of us, to be judged based on whether his specific act was a crime, not on whether the department he works for is corrupt, ineffective, incompetent, or out of touch with the community it is sworn to serve and protect.
At best, there was plenty of reasonable doubt.
This is not about police and Blacks. This is about inciting mob violence, distrust and racial animosity. This is a all about Obama stirring up his Base and getting the Black vote back to the Left, as they stayed away from the poles in the mid-term elections. This is all about Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals.
As for Sharpton, he is behaving as he always does, in inciting violence by manipulating the Blacks who will listen to him. Think Crown Heights, Tawana Browly, the Duke Team and Travon Martin. Perhaps this last effort will help him pay down some of his IRS bill of 4 million dollars.

Oh, Squid, grow up. This is about "Obama stirring up his base"??? You have to say something a bit more credible than that if you expect to be taken seriously. I suppose that traffic jam on the George Washington Bridge was just about Christie stirring up his base?
