Did they win by forfeit based on the opposing team's behavior?
I see a fair number of Muslim students at chess tournaments, and they are quite well behaved, including toward competitors from Golda Meir Middle School.
Is watching a chess match as boring as it sounds, kind of like watching paint dry or grass grow?? Just curious.
No, its not boring, but its frustrating, because I always see a great move a player could make, and they don't. I can't say anything of course.
I don't really stand around watching the matches, I wait for the kids I've been teaching to come let me know if they won or lost, and see if they have notation so we can review the game.
I'm not qualified to teach methods to make paint dry or grass grow, although these things are reputed to happen whether any human beings are watching or not.
