Hat tip Joods Aktuelle (Be)
I often post reports from One New Heart, an organization run by Hank and Michelle Danecker, two Christian missionaries in Jerusalem. Thanks to this program, Palestinian children born with heart defects can be operated on for free in Israel by Israeli doctors working pro bono in Israeli hospitals like Wolfson.
To the best of my knowledge, One New Heart is affiliated with a larger organization called Save a Child's Heart. The above video, sub-titled in English describes what SCH does.
Due to the high incidence of marriages between relatives in the Palestinian communities, congenital heart defects are common. Without corrective surgery, most of these children would not live long lives. It also serves to convince Palestinians, one family at a time that Jews and Christians are not the evil people that Palestinian leaders would have them believe.
Of course, you won't hear about this on college campuses as the anti-Israel crowd tells you that Israelis are racist, genocidal Zionists. Bring it up and they will likely try to twist it into something akin to "pink-washing', which is their way of dispensing with the inconvenient fact that Israel is the only country in the Middle East where gays are not subject to persecution or killing.
Keep this video in mind the next time you are at one of these anti-Israel hate fests.

Well, that's only so long as a secular liberal Jewish plurality retains a tenuous presence... once the ultra-orthodox, like those who insist on building more and more settlements in the West Bank, are fully in control, they will cite Leviticus as ISIS cites haddith (which post-date the Qu'ran), and do in the gays.
But in the meantime Gary, why don't you set up a massive publicity campaign for One New Heart in the middle of the next Israel Apartheid week? It deserves more coverage than the handful of fans and enemies you reach here.
Great idea. I will make copies for Anteaters for Israel to put at their table next May.
There you go. Another point of agreement. I would be hanging out near the leftist table, asking them embarrassing questions about Lenin and Stalin's support for Israel, only, there aren't any real leftists left to embarrass with that kind of historical reference.
