Jim Clapper's Lock of the Week (Sept. 14, 2014)
Hey there football fans. It's Jim Clapper here, director of National Security and pro football prognosticator with this Sunday's Lock of the Week. Now that I have settled my contract with Fousesquawk, I am back in time for the opening week in this NFL season. I've got boots on the ground in every NFL city to give you the best up-to-date intelligence on every team and every match-up.
Today, I'm picking the Pittsburgh Steelers to trounce the Baltimore Ravens. True, the Ravens have Ray Rice, but my sources tell me that linebacker Ray Lewis is over the hill and may not even start. Even with Rice I don't see the Ravens mounting any type of rushing attack against the Steel Curtain defense. The Steelers' front four will make the Ravens look like a JV team today.
Prediction: Steelers 26
Ravens 6

Hey, baseball season isn't even over yet. Have you noticed that of all the teams in the cellar of their division, only one has a W-L record as good as the Chicago Cubs, and none have a better record? (That's about all we're going to have to crow about this year).
