After once again assuring his countrymen that Islam is a religion of peace, Cameron said they would destroy ISIS with "iron determination".

THE FIVE POINT PLAN
"Cameron laid out the current 5 point strategy in place: "First we will work with the iraqi government... we will support the Kurdish Regional Government who is holding the front line against ISIL... [Second], we will work at the United Nations to mobilise the broadest possible support to bear own on ISIL".
"[Thirdly]...The united states is taking military action, we support that… this is not about British combat troops on the ground it is about working with others... we are ready to take whatever steps are necessary to keep our country safe".
"[Fourth]... we will continue to support the humanitarian efforts, using the RAF (Royal Air Force) to do so".
"[Fifth]... we will… continue to reinforce our formidable counter terrorism effort in this country".
At least he didn't mention "tough sanctions".
So who is going to fight ISIS on the ground besides the Kurds- the Iraqi army? We have seen how they fight. What we have here is a war where no country wants to fight on the ground. How about our NATO "allies", the Turks? They have a big army and a lot to lose since they neighbor both Iraq and Syria. It would be the least they could do after allowing their country to be used as an open gateway for Western Islamist fighters rushing to join ISIS. Don't hold your breath, however.
The sad fact is that no country seems willing to follow the leads of Barack Obama and David Cameron when it comes to military action.
Can you blame them? Hell, we can't even define who the enemy is.
It appears that the world's hopes rest on the shoulders of the Kurds.

If Cameron were sensible, he would have said, outrage is wasted on these thugs. They are going to do whatever they want in any territory they can control. We will take any opportunity to kill them and degrade their strength as military formations, but we would only be playing their game if we sent troops into countries where we don't know the terrain, the culture, or the people, and our presence would become the issue. There are many people in the middle east with reason to fight ISIS. We wish them well, and will help them when and where we can do so effectively.
