What is the Anti-Defamation League Doing in Boston?

Hat tip American Thinker and Janet

The below article is nothing less than shocking, but hardly surprising to me. I have often wondered why the much-heralded Anti-Defamation League under Abe Foxman never uttered a peep about the anti-Semitic speakers who were appearing at UC Irvine every May. I also wondered why Foxman told a friend of mine a few years ago when asked at a Jewish gathering in Newport Beach that there was no anti-Semitic problem at UCI, and that the administration and the Jewish students had it all under control. For several years, every May, when the Muslim Student Union held their week of anti-Israel events and demagogues like Amir Abdel Malik Ali were shrieking their hatred of not just Israel, but Jews in general, the local ADL rep was there standing around listening with his thumb up his rear end while I was confronting Ali face to face with his hate speech.

And I would wonder why this supposedly flagship organization fighting anti-Semitism remained silent in the face of Jew hatred when it comes from Islamic quarters.

I also followed the history of the Islamic Society of Boston (Roxbury) and its sister mosque in Cambridge, with a distinguished list of "graduates" including convicted terrorists Tarek Mehanna, Abdulrahman Alamoudi and none other than Yusuf al Qaradawi on its board of directors. And don't forget the Brothers Tsarnaev, who sprang out of the Cambridge mosque to give us the Boston Marathon bombing as a token of their gratitude for the US granting them political asylum from Daghestan.

I also knew that Charles Jacobs, one of the below writers, was active in exposing the radical elements in the Boston Islamic Center and was warning the local rabbis about whom they were holding inter-faith events with. For that, Jacobs has been castigated within the Jewish community. I met Jacobs a few years ago in California, and I support his work.

Now come revelations that the ADL in New England is organizing summer camps with members of this Islamic congregation-not just any members-but those who actively defended Mehanna. Read on.

As far as I am concerned, this is the final straw for me and the ADL. Unless they have a drastic change at the top with Foxman leaving, they are not worthy of support.

One more California Christian who never supported ADL tells the Jews who belong to it that he doesn't support them.

Well if you say so Findalis, I certainly must take your word for it. After all, you have been elected and annointed as the Sole Spokesperson for International Jewry. I remember your coronation. It was front page news. (I can well believe that YOU no longer donate. But I bet there are others who think differently.)

Groups are a sad way to think Miggie. It leads one into all kinds of analogies that don't even have the limited virtue of being logical.
