Memo to MSNBC's inaptly-named Krystal Ball: Stay with the round table liberal gang that MSNBC has assigned you to. You are not ready for prime time when a breaking news events occurs.
I assume this was the notorious Captain Janks, who has been playing these pranks for years. I remember when the big Kobe, Japan earthquake occurred. I was in Riga, Latvia watching CNN International. They had some Indian guy, who was one of their main London-based anchors, reporting on the earthquake, and he was talking to who he thought was an American living in Kobe and who had experienced the quake first-hand.
Just like Ms Ball, the anchor didn't catch it when Captain Janks dismissed earlier reports that the quake had been caused by one of Howard Stern's farts. He continued to march and asked the caller what he was doing when the quake struck.
"I was laying across Howard Stern's lap and he was spanking me."
Similarly, Ms Ball was not even listening to the answers to her questions. If she had, she would have cut the guy off straight away. As it was, she made herself look amateurish by moving on to the next question.
