Yesterday's White House Ceremony: What Were They Thinking?

As thousands of Central Americans are flooding across the border with their children, the White House yesterday hosted a group of young people who were brought here illegally by their parents and are still in the country illegally. The President referred to them as "champions of change".

Granted; these young people ("Dreamers") are innocent victims of what their parents did years ago when they were brought here not even understanding what was happening. This is the country they know. I favor some mechanism whereby their status can be legalized. The problem is that Obama is giving the green light to everyone that the door is open. Just get here, and if you have kids, you can stay. The message has reached Central America. So now we have a Border Patrol that is busy changing diapers-literally- and trying to care for small children-if they are not putting them on buses for places like Arizona or flying them there from Texas.

And what is there for us? We are basically told to shut up and pay for all this. And the White House has a ceremony honoring illegal aliens and calling them "champions of change".

For most if not all of the "children" who make into the U.S. from Central/South America unaccompanied by parents, you can make a safe bet that the parent(s) will be invited here with some status or other rather than the young people EVER being returned to their home country. Something like the Dream Act in practice??

How exactly did he do that? At present, you seem to be saying, I support what the president is doing for these people, but since this president is involved, there has to be something wrong with what he'd doing, because, Obama.
