The New Apartheid Wall at UC Irvine

Today at UC Irvine, there was one panel at the apartheid wall that caught my eye. It concerned the topic of violence against women. I snapped a few seconds of video.

This is confusing if not misleading. The reference to Palestinian women  implies that Palestinian women are the object of  violence with the below numbers. From whom-the Israelis? Or is it at the hands of Palestinian men?

It must be asked: Where do these statistics apply? Israel? Palestinian territories? America? The World? The only statistic that is specific is where it says, "Every two minutes, an American is sexually assaulted."

I would invite the MSU to research violence against women in Europe, including rape. I would invite them to research the scourge of sexual grooming in Britain. Find out who the perpetrators are. I would also invite them to talk to Raja Darakshan,  a brave Pakistani-American Muslim woman who is a social worker from New York. While speaking at the 2012 MPAC conference in Pasadena (in my presence) she said that domestic abuse is the biggest problem in the American Muslim community. Indeed, we have just recently seen the case of Shaima Alawadi, who was murdered by her husband in El Cajon, California. The crime was made to look like a case of hate crime until Shaima's husband was arrested and just recently convicted. Ms Daraksahn referred to that case when she spoke in Pasadena and commented on how there was so much community interest and involvement until it became apparent that no hate crime was involved.

So I have serious questions as to this particular panel on the apartheid wall. (Actually, I have serious issues with the other panels as well.)
