On December 10, a press conference was held in Vienna in which Sister Hatune Dogan described her experiences in Turkey and Syria while trying to help refugees. Sister Hatune fled Turkey in 1985. She is a recipient of the German Cross of Merit for the work she has done. In this conference, Sister Hatune describes the treatment of Christians in Turkey and the on-going horrors visited upon Christians in Syria.

When will the world wake up to the horrors that happening to Christians in Islamic lands? It has to involve our political and religious leaders and the media. Thus far, they refuse to speak out.
