Hat tip Catholic Culture.org and Atlas Shrugs
If any of you women out there are planning that dream vacation to Sudan (OK. I am speaking hypothetically), you might want to take along a lot of clothes. This is what happens under sharia law to those women who are not dressed modestly enough-according to the snap judgment of the local cop on the beat. (Viewer warning).

Seriously, the next time you hear some inter-faith representative, like Faisal Abdul Rauf or Muzammil Siddiqi calmly tell you that sharia law is perfectly compatible with the US Constitution, keep this video in mind.

Sudan is not governed by the U.S. Constitution. If people who say they practice Sharia can do so without violating the U.S. Constitution, then obviously it is possible. If they want to make Sharia law enforceable by the police power of the state, THAT would be ipso facto incompatible.
Siarlys,
Suggest you check out hudud sharia, which covers crimes against God. Under sharia a murderer can be forgiven and pardoned by the victim's family. Under Hudud, the death penalty is prescribed for adultery, blasphemy, apostasy and homosexual acts. How does one practice hudud sharia in the US without violating the law, Constitution etc?
But don't feel bad. I have seen and heard Maxine Waters, Loretta Sanchez, Judy Chu (all Democratic congresswomen), LA Sheriff Lee Baca and LAPD head of counter terrorism Michael Downing all make the same claim. You are in good company.
How does one practice the Biblical prescription of stoning for adultery, for disobedient sons, and for homosexuality, without violating the Constitution?
Perhaps those who say they can practice Sharia without violating the U.S. Constitution do not consider hudud authoritative. Perhaps they do not consider your translation from the Arabic accurate.
Why do you exalt thugs and murderers as the highest authority in the interpretation of Islam, when to put it mildly, other schools of interpretation are quite available?
