More Slanted Swedish Reporting-Egypt

Yesterday, I posted an old Swedish news report from Jerusalem during the days of the Gaza fighting to show just how slanted their reporting was in favor of the Palestinian view. One anonymous reader took me to task for that today indicating that the report must be factual. Nonsense.

Here is a more recent example of Swedish journalism in action. The Svenska Dagbladet, Sweden's largest news organ is reporting on the events in Egypt from the point of the view of the Muslim Brotherhood. I have read it in Swedish. If you don't read Swedish, you can get a rough translation via Google.

På söndagen begravdes en son till Ammar Badie, en av ledarna för Muslimska brödraskapet. Han dödades av egyptiska säkerhetsstyrkor på fredagen, och hans begravning hölls i al-Hamed-moskén i Kairo på söndagen.

This is how world opinion is formed. No mention here or in any other article about the burning of churches. No mention of the security forces killed (over 60). No mention of the horrors, rapes and killings that were going on in those "peaceful sit-in" sites. No mention of the police stations attacked including the one that led directly to the siege at the nearby mosque. The below article only contains a fleeting reference to claims that there was two-way shooting at the mosque and Brotherhood sharpshooters in the minaret.

Again, three front page articles on the events in Egypt, and not one word about attacks against Christians and their churches across the country. Slanted reporting? You be the judge.
