France: One Bishop's Hypocrisy

Hat tip Gallia Watch

The below post from the French blog, Gallia Watch, highlights the epitome of hypocrisy on the part of a French bishop. In this case, French authorities in Le Havre remove Roma gypsies from an illegal encampment. A local bishop protests in the name of human rights. But when the gypsies encamp on his own church property, he wants them out

If you are not familiar with the gypsies in Europe, you need to be aware. They are basically beggars and thieves. Nomadic in nature, they move from place to place in western Europe, set up encampments from which they beg, borrow or steal. They do not assimilate, they don't educate their children (beyond teaching them how to steal), and they are basically a burden on society wherever they go. They will even steal your children if they get the chance. That is not an exaggeration. When I lived in Italy, the nursery schools would padlock their gates if gypsies were spotted in the area. My co-worker nearly had his infant son stolen by gypsies when his wife had her back turned to her baby carriage at an outdoor market. When she turned away, a gypsy woman was wheeling her son off. This is one group that should never be permitted into the US. (Yet, some are here.) And if you think that's racist, too bad. Save your cards and letters.

The above story is another case of the common folks being screwed by their leaders, political, religious or otherwise.

Talk about getting screwed by our leaders, you should read This Town, a terrific new book. The author says that there are no Democrats or Republicans there, only millionaires with common interests.

Gary, your Anonymous responder typically doesn't let logic or reason get in the way of his antisemitism. One person or several of a group does not characterize a whole group. A "single" Jew who steals a lot of money does NOT mean the rest of the group also steals, as a matter of course.

Every single Jewish organization and individual condemned Madoff. Not a single one excused him in the slightest.

Every group numbering in the millions obviously has some bad apples but the reaction of the rest of the group to the guilty person is what characterizes the entire group.

I am not aware of any gypsy group or organization ever condemning any single gypsy for stealing or kidnapping.

Or, more to the point, any significant numbers of Muslims condemning the many atrocities the Muslims commit DAILY around the world. In fact, they ignore them or organizations like CAIR seek to justify or excuse their crimes. They even twist the law so they can claim it doesn't apply to them.

I can see the Jews being the reason why Anonymous (or Muslim countries in general) use the Jews as the reason for their failures or why they are not what they should be. Antisemitism is very convenient and useful to them.

The saddest part is that for so many individual Muslims, like Anonymous, it is so basic in their cultural makeup and upbringing that they see JEWS in every circumstance and story that has nothing at all in it about Jews.

Miggie,

Quite revealing that anonymous in accusing me of bigotry resorted to his or her own bigotry.

As for gypsies, having lived in Europe and knowing them first-hand, I will not back away from what I said. As to those who have left the life style, found work and are contributing to society, I have no quarrel with them. But as for those who remain in the life style and live as leeches on the rest of society, I have nothing good to say.
