SPME Article on Nomination of UC Student Regent

Scholars for Peace in the Middle East is a pro-Israel organization I am affiliated with although there does not seem to be a formal membership. (In other words, I don't have a card.) In the below article, SPME expresses its opposition to the nomination of UC Berkeley student Sadia Saifuddin to act as student regent at the University of California. The opposition is due to Ms Saifuddin's active role in the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement (against Israel) and her role in the campaign against UC Santa Cruz teacher Tammi Rossman-Benjamin, who is head of the AMCHA Initiative, which combats anti-Semitism on California campuses. I concur with the opinion of SPME as to this nomination.

Unanimously approved, except for Richard Blum, who abstained. Looks like its going to be open season for Jews, er, Zionists next year on the UC campuses.
