You may have noticed lately that my site contains several ads (on the right margin) that are proclaiming Islamic charities during Ramadan (We happen to be in the month of Ramadan in which Muslims fast.) This is part of my deal with AdSense. I have no control over the ads, which are selected by AdSense largely based on the contents of my postings.
I have nothing against charity not even Islamic charities that are well-intentioned. As we know, many of the US-based Islamic charities have come under scrutiny and even prosecution (Holy Land Foundation) when they have connections and/or aid radical elements overseas. I happen to know nothing about the ones whose ads appear on this site through AdSense. Needless to say I do not personally endorse them.
Update: In checking on the Islamic Relief USA (which is running ads here), I find info about them in the Investigative Project on Terrorism below:

Help me out here, bloggers. Is there a way I can complain to AdSense about this bunch running ads on my site?
Update: OK. I think I have blocked Islamic Relief USA.org from this site.
PS: Do not donate!

On the other hand, every time we click on those, don't you earn $? Maybe thats the better approach.

Anonymous,
I takes me about two years to earn $100.00 It's not that important. I'd rather not let this group use my site for their solicitations.
I used to see Scott Walker ads whenever I visited Gary's site. I clicked on them over and over. Runs up the bill for the Walker campaign, and if Gary makes a little money of them, that's cool.
