Update: Texas University Closes Case on Anti-Gun Poster Professor

Hat tip Campus Reform

A few days ago, I cross-posted a report by Campus Reform about a teacher at Midwestern State University (Texas) who assigned her students to produce anti-gun posters.

Well, the university has quickly "investigated" the case and closed it-apparently without interviewing the student who made the complaint.

This reminds of of the time I sent a letter to the UC Irvine dean of student judicial affairs (I think that's the title) offering to be interviewed about the incident involving George Galloway and his collection of funds for the boys in Gaza (Hamas) as well as the incident when the Muslim Student Union disrupted the speech of the Israeli ambassador to the US. I was a witness to both events, and in the spirit of good citizenship, I was prepared to tell what I witnessed since both events were under investigation.

I got a letter back thanking me for my concern, but the investigation was about wrapped up and I was not needed.

No action was taken in the case of Galloway and the MSU disruptors, of course, were prosecuted while the MSU was suspended for one quarter.
