Christian Science Monitor Article on Muslim Reactions to Boston

The below article is running in the Christian Science Monitor and concerns fears of a backlash against innocent American Muslims in the wake of the Boston bombing case.

As usual, the media is interviewing the wrong people, those who have established themselves as the self-appointed spokespeople for US Muslims. Unfortunately, some of them have checkered pasts and associations with radical Islamist groups.

Is this the same Asad Ba-Yunus who is or was a board member of the Islamic Society of North America, a creation of the Muslim Brotherhood and unindicted co-conspirator (ISNA-not Ba-Yunus) in the Holy Land Foundation trial in Dallas in 2007?

Here is the file on ISNA from the Investigative Project on Terrorism. One of the founders and its first president was Ilyas Ba-Yunis (deceased), who was the father of Asad Ba Yunis.

Here is some background on Mr Khan as reported by the Militant Islam Monitor:

I also think Marayati is the wrong choice for several reasons. I know full well that he is accepted by the government, the media and many elements of polite society as a true moderate. Yet, this is the same man who, after 9-11, wanted to blame it on Israel.  Here is the file on Marayati from the Investigative Project on Terrorism:

Not to mention the already documented ties of the Cambridge mosque and its sister mosque, the Islamic Cultural Center of Boston to Islamic extremists like Abdurrahman Alamoudi, Tarek Mehanna and Yusuf al Qaradawi.

What a sad plight for innocent, peaceful, American Muslims who have to have as their spokespersons, leaders of MPAC and ISNA-not to mention CAIR and the Islamic Circle of North America-all with links to radical Islamist forces. Why can't the CSM find ordinary Muslims who even anonymously might tell them of the fear they live in-not from American society, but from those who control the Islamic communities-and pretend to speak for them? Why doesn't the CSM interview Zuhdi Jasser? He is a Muslim, but he knows the threat and isn't afraid to name names.

Instead, all we ever get are the pious statements of the Marayatis, who give us the same lies every time.
