Nonie Darwish Weighs in on the State Dept. Fiasco Involving Samira Ibrahim

Recently, I wrote about the absurd selection by Michelle Obama and John Kerry to give an International Women of Courage award to an Egyptian woman named Samira Ibrahim. The award was rescinded at the last moment by the State Department when it was revealed that Ibrahim had a long history of making anti-Semitic and pro-9-11 statements.

Nonie Darwish, an Egyptian-born apostate from Islam has written an article for the Gatestone Institute about the embarrassing story. You will note that in the above link, I listed Darwish as one who should receive a courage award instead of the hateful Ms Ibrahim. Nonie has sent me a copy of her op-ed, which I am cross-posting.

I have met Darwish on a few occasions and support her endeavors. She ends her op-ed by listing certain Muslims and ex-Muslims who are really deserving of the award. She modestly omits her own name. I am happy to add it for her.
