Menendez Scandal-Not So Fast Anderson Cooper
"I'll be tweeting after the show."
Last night on CNN, Anderson Cooper pretty much implied that the sex and bribery scandal surrounding Senator Robert Menendez (D-NJ) was a "smear" orchestrated by Republicans. This was based on a Washington Post report that a Dominican woman has come forth and denied claims that she had sex with the senator. Daily Caller, a conservative blog run by Tucker Carlson, is standing by its story and is refuting the Post story. They say that this is a completely different woman from any of the women they interviewed.

In his show last night, Cooper was featuring reporter Dana Bash, who stressed that the DC was standing by its story and reminded Cooper that there was another aspect to the scandal, the allegations of influence peddling by Menendez with his friend Solomon Melgen, who allegedly arranged the parties for the senator in the Dominican Republic.
Just keeping you honest, Anderson.
