Ed Schultz Demoted at MSNBC

"I want to get out among the people."

At least Ed "Butter and Egg Man" Schultz didn't claim he wanted to spend more time with his family, which he surely will now that MSNBC has bounced him to Saturday and Sunday evenings-where nobody will watch him. Of course, nobody was watching him week nights either.

But guess who will be replacing him. No, it's not an extra hour of Lockup; it's wunderkind Chris Hayes.

Isn't he just the cutest thing?

Yes, MSNBC will be helping Chrissie celebrate his 21st birthday by giving him a "prime town" slot-whatever that means on MSNBC.

As for Big Ed, he will now begin the rapid descent into total obscurity-or total madness, whichever comes first. I predict that this time next year, he will be quietly dropped altogether. Oh, he may pick up a gig on Al Jazeera, but let's face it- he's done.

Of course, he could always get himself arrested at the next Occupy Wall Street riot with all the rest of his "99%-ers".

I haven't been watching either of them. I wouldn't know they exist if not for Fousesquawk. Why do you waste so much time and attention on these loons, Gary?

Oh, I've got it. President Obama hasn't been making a fool of HIMself, so you assuage your wounded sense of political futility by beating up on the most pathetic target you can find.

Who says Obama has not been making a fool of himself?? He did a fairly good job of it relative to the alleged Armageddon/apocalypse of his sequestration scheme, among other things.

A little early to say elwood... and I heard him say, it won't be armageddon, its just stupid. He's right, as usual.

Last I heard, there are a lot of workers in defense plants in Virginia who think an apocalypse is about to hit their jobs. And they may be right, too.
