This would be welcome news. After years of fighting, the LA Archdiocese may be finally compelled to release its files on its pedophile priests and how the archdiocese handled the cases over the years.

Former Archbishop Roger Mahony hid these files and pedophilia cases for years from prosecutors. He covered up countless cases of pedophilia within his church.
One can only hope that this lead to the public disgrace Mahony so richly deserves.

Most Catholics I know are really good people. They deserve a better hierarchy than their church has provided. Hopefully we'll see some justice done.
