Hillary's Stand-ins Testify

Today, two State Department officials testified before Congress in place of the secretary of state herself, Madame Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is bed ridden with a stomach virus, a concussion, and loss of memory.

So we still don't know what Ms Clinton was doing on 9-11,or what she knew about the security problems in Benghazi prior to 9-11, but we now learn that some cables from Libya urgently requesting increased security may have reached the secretary's office. It seems the talking point of the day is we needed more money for security and Congress didn't give us enough, a statement supported by the man who will probably be our next inept secretary of state, John Heinz Kerry.

"Shove it, Fousesquawk!"

"Isn't she wonderful? She can say it in five languages."


Au contraire, Johnnie boy. It seems that the State Department did not request additional funding from Congress to beef up security.

“This is not about the money,” Corker said at the hearing, the first since a report was released finding "systemic failures" at the department before the attack. “I want to know why you did not ask for the resources in Benghazi. You were aware of the security issues there. We’ve read the cables.”

He added, “If you had safety concerns, why didn’t you ask for money?”

So we will just have to wait and see what Hillary Rodham Clinton has to say, hopefully, when that concussion clears up. Nasty things those concussions. They say they can take years to clear up.
