How Obama Can Defend Susan Rice
President Obama, in his press conference today, firmly defended his UN ambassador Susan Rice over her round of TV interviews 5 days after Benghazi, in which she repeatedly stated that the attack was a protest over a video that spun out of control. He challenged John McCain and Lindsey Graham to come after him rather than attack Rice.
Fair enough.
If the President wants to defend Rice, he can come clean on who gave her the false information and sent her out there to repeat it. No question, Rice has been left hanging in the wind ever since. Maybe he can explain why Rice, of all people, was chosen to spread what they knew at that point was a falsehood.
Now comes the ever-gallant Obama challenging the senators to come after him rather than attack (oppose her possible nomination to be Secretary of State). Yet, he has failed to come clean over these past weeks while Rice continues to dangle. We are still asking who gave her the bad information and who sent her out there rather than someone like Petraeus or Director of National Intelligence, the hapless James Clapper.
At any rate, Susan Rice is not exactly Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. She has her own powerful position and can speak for herself. As our UN ambassador, she is accountable just like everybody else. She can also come forward, tell the truth, and answer the questions. Now, like Hillary Clinton, she is behind the scenes and maintaining her silence.
The entire administration is engaged in a massive cover-up to hide their horrible incompetence on 9-11 and the truth about what is really happening in the Middle East, which contradicts Obama's talking points about the Arab Spring, democracy and al Qaeda being on the run.
I look forward to the testimony of Petraeus this week. He needs to tell the House Intelligence Committee when he learned his affair had been outed and whether that influenced what he told Congress on September 14. What he says this week under oath will greatly shape his final legacy in American history. He can also clarify whether he or his underlings had anything to do with what Susan Rice told all those news shows five days after 9-11. I am betting that she got her talking points and TV assignments from another source.

You said it all about what is happening, why, and the underlying reason.

Yeah... Miggie looked forward to the recent election... may you be equally gratified by the results.
