Update: Twenty Arrests in East London

Guardian

According to latest reports, 20 people were arrested yesterday in East London after English Defence League marchers were attacked by counter-protesters. The politically-correct Guardian continues to cloud the story by referring to the counter-protesters as "anti-fascists and anti-racists" and also clouding the circumstances of who did what and what the charges were. It appears most of the EDL arrests were for "protective purposes" whatever that means in British law.

Digital Journal has four video clips taken before things got "jolly".

There were apparently many arrests of EDL supporters under ‘potential breach of the peace’. The police have previously resorted to the tactic of arresting those likely to be attacked instead of the attackers when they are unable to cope.

As for the BBC, Times of London and other major news outlets-still nothing that I can find. Sounds like a news blackout to me.

Gary is getting to be like the newscasters... report story, break for commercial, nothing new happening, repeat story, break for commercial (or a beer)... nothing new happening, repeat story...
