The Obama Apology Circus Continues in Europe

God save us from our feckless State Department, which even in the best of administrations, is an arrogant department made up of a bunch of Ivy-league trained, striped-pants pseudo-intellectuals who think they know more than everybody else. Under Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, they are even offending their European hosts as they venture outside their magnificent embassies to "empower" the restive and unassimilated Muslim communities. Where does one begin? In the case of France, especially, it seems that the State Department is meddling in issues that belong to the host governments. So now our embassies are apologizing for Iraq and Afghanistan? Why don't we send an emissary to lay flowers on Saddam Hussein's grave? Perhaps, our ambassadors should issue public statements ordering the last few remaining Jews to clear out of Europe? (Might be good advice, actually.) Why don't we send advisers to the local communities to train them in assaults and robberies? Maybe the US Ambassador to the Court of St. James should invite Anjem Choudary up for a spot of tea.

What kind of message does it send to our enemies when we go crawling through the very communities that hate us with our apologies and offers to help "empower" them? They laugh at us, spit at us, and know they can take it to the next level.

What is really sad is that we continue to reach out to the wrong elements. Here at home we hold hands with phony "moderates" who tell us wonderful things and then preach jihad and sharia to their own audiences. Those Muslims who put their necks on the line to tell it like it is, we ignore. This is the same State Department that helped bring some 85,000 Somalis to the US in the 1990s-with disastrous results. No, Ayaan Hirsi Ali had to get here via another route. Of course, she is hardly on the State Department cocktail party invitation list. She has to spend the rest of her life living under guard

I wonder how we would like it if some other country and its diplomats were going around the US meddling in our affairs-like say, for instance, Mexico's diplomats were issuing identity cards for its citizens who are in the US illegally.

I realize that is a wild fantasy.
