Brad Sherman (D-CA) Scolds UC Berkeley for Award to Mary Robinson

Mary Robinson (Public Health Hero)

You learn something everyday, folks. Today, I learn that UC Beserkly actually has a public health hero award.

"Ah wunnerful-a wunnerful, ah."

Yes, it is, indeed, and the latest public health hero is none other than Mary Robinson.

Who is Mary Robinson, you ask?

That's what I said last year myself. She is a former  president of Ireland, and last I heard, she was a professor teaching human rights at Columbia University. So why is she a "public health hero"? Simple. She is big on Climate Change and she hates Israel. So now the mad-hatters up at Beserkly are giving her a hero award, and Congressman Brad Sherman (D-CA) is none too happy about it.

Here is what I posted previously on Robinson, when President Obama gave her another big hero award.

Robinson was the one who headed up that 2001 Durban Conference on Racism that decided that Israel was the world's number one problem when it came to racism. That was also the conference that was attended by our local Orange County head of the OC Commission on Human Relations, Rusty (the empty suit) Kennedy, the same boob that last year gave another hero award to Imam Muzammil Siddiqi.

Am I digressing here? It's hard when you have so many heroes floating around.

Memo to Brad Sherman: Instead of trying to stop UCB from handing out awards to people like Robinson, just let them do it, drop a line to me, and we'll shine the public spotlight on it.

Doesn't sound like any of this has much to do with public health.

As regards all the other flotsam and jetsam floating around here, I suspect I no more agree with Mary Robinson than I do with you. Isn't it strange that three or five or twelve human beings would not be in total agreement?

There is no mystery to it at all. Obama and Mary Robinson see the world the same way. They are simpatico. They share attributes and orientations. There are thousands of Mary Robinsons in the Obama administration. He hires them and gives them honors. Those in the administration, like at the EPA, Justice Department, (and what's the third one?) know the kind of people that are welcome in the administration of the worker's paradise.

Someplace along the line they work with some union, organization, or company who will then kick in bucks at election time.

I talk about how no two persons are in total agreement, and Miggie says, yeah, I can explain that, those I don't like see the world the same way. What is the name for a condition when words conjure up in a patient's mind totally different concepts and meaning than everyone else uses those words for?
