Tarek Mehanna and His Supporters

It should be known that Occupy Boston is one of the most odious Occupy groups in the country. This week, 46 Occupy Boston protesters were arrested by cops. Recently, a group of them decided to take their protest to the Israel Consulate. Now they are supporting a local pharmacist named Tarek Mehanna, who is on trial for terrorism charges.
Here is the CNN report on the arrests.

Here is the NY Times report on Mehanna's arrest in 2009.

The Boston Herald has reported that Occupy Boston has now played host to the Mehanna supporters (hat tip to The Blaze).

Now let me introduce Charles Jacobs of the Boston-based Americans for Peace and Tolerance. Jacobs, who is Jewish, has been attacked by the Jewish establishment in Boston over his revelations of extremist influence of the Roxbury mega-mosque. Many of Boston's Jewish leaders are involved in interfaith dialogues with the mosque and don't want to hear about their radical connections, such as Yusuf al Qaradawi. Jacobs has also weighed in on the Mehanna issue in New English Review with this disturbing report.

It is hardly surprising that the ACLU and National Lawyers Guild would be involved in Mehanna's defense. Everybody knows the ACLU. Not everybody is acquainted with the National Lawyers Guild, which was founded in the 1930s as a legal arm of the Communist Party USA. Their LA honcho, Jim Lafferty, has been active in Occupy Wall Street in New York and Occupy LA. It's all like playing connect the dots in a rat's nest.
Jacobs also wrote this for Family Security Matters:

Finally, here is Jacobs writing for Act for America.:

"Prosecution documents tell of Mehanna's attempt to seek terrorist training in Yemen and Pakistan. They describe the pleasure he and his friends took in watching videos of Americans being beheaded and of American soldiers killed and mutilated in Iraq. Watching a scene of an American soldier whose chest was ripped open and whose innards then set ablaze with gasoline, Mehanna called it "a Texas barbeque." When asked by a fellow extremist if the soldiers should not have received some sort of trial, Mehanna said no, "BBQ sauce is the way to go."
So Occupy Boston is "standing in solidarity" with an accused terrorist and his other supporters in the Roxbury mosque, ACLU, and National Lawyers Guild. Should that not give pause to people like Nancy "God bless them" Pelosi, Barack "I can empathize with that" Obama, Ed Schultz and all those other supporters of the so-called "99%-ers"?

Now Gary Fouse is alleging that 99% of the population of the United States of America are actively supporting terrorism. Are there no boundaries to this line of lurid fantasy?
No, I am alleging that the Occupy Movement represents nowhere near 99% of the American people. 1/2 of 1% is more like it.
Well Gary, we have some ground for agreement. Years of experience in the minority or the majority on various questions, and getting to know a variety of individual human beings who somehow fail to conform to stereotypes, have convinced me of this:
ANYBODY who claims to speak for "The People" is greatly exaggerating, at best, and quite possibly lying, to themselves and/or others. That goes for the Tea Party, for OWS, for the latest majority in congress after any given election, you name it.
I made a pointed sarcastic remark because you offered that closing line about "the 99%." If you had limited yourself to saying "This rag tag would-be vanguard seems to be picking up some questionable adherents, and appears incapable or unwilling to sort them out," you would have had a valid point.
This is typical of the Islamists and their left wing allies. Every single one of them makes broad generalizations with absolutely no sense of nuance or thoughtfulness.
Miggie, nothing is typical of anything. You doth protest too much.
Miggie, congrats if you're going for satire, but this being the Internet, I have to guess not. (I think its Poe's law?) So in that case, I'll be laughing at you, not with you.
