Fast and Furious: Pajamas Media is Correct- It Must Have Been Holder

Eric Holder
"Guns? What guns?"

Bob Owens of Pajamas Media has hit the nail on the head. The thesis of Owens' article is that the decision to launch Fast and Furious could never have originated at the field level.

Take it from a former DEA agent. The street agents in Phoenix were operating under orders-against their better judgement. The agent-in-charge in Phoenix was operating under orders. Those orders must have come from Washington. I can't even believe that the head of ATF came up with that hare-brained scheme. That takes us to the political hacks in the Dept. of Justice. Even there, that idea would have required very high level approval.

What could have been the motivation of such a goal? The only one I can think of was to document the allegation that 80% of the guns used in murders in Mexico originated in the US. And what could have been the goal of proving that allegation? To prove that the administration's claim was accurate since it was being challenged? How about trying to clamp down on gun-ownership in the US? If those were the goals, then, is it nor reasonable to speculate that the orders originated from within 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue?

So you ADMIT that 80 percent of the guns being used to commit gang murders in Mexico are illegal sold in the U.S.? And you don't have a problem with that? You object to the government trying to document it? And while you are rightly anguished by the death of an agent on duty, you would let the flow of arms resume, because you have a paranoid suspicion that this is all a set-up to repeal the Second Amendment?

You make Hillary Clinton, nattering about a "vast right wing conspiracy," look like the sanest character in the asylum!!!

Siarlys,

No I don't admit that. Mexico has always had plenty of guns. What is wrong with having a suspicion?

Well, having just read a news article on the subject, I have a suspicion too. It seems there were a number of arrests made as a result of this operation. I suspect that the Republicans in congress are under pressure from the NRA to come to the defense of those charged, by discrediting the entire operation. Then the guns can continue to flow.

P.S. The reason I used to word "admit" is that the eighty percent figure came from you, or possibly a page you linked to approvingly. I can't double check while I'm looking at the "Post a Comment" page they way your site is set up.
