"Laissez les bon temps rouler"
Who says you can't marry a woman young enough to be your daughter? Former Louisiana governor Edwin Edwards (84) just married one young enough to be his grand daughter be Jesus.

Of course, the bribe-taking governor had to meet her while in prison for taking bribes. Nevertheless, good things always happen to crooked politicians, don't they? Just ask Bill Clinton.
So all you old farts out there who dream of hooking up with a young bimbo, here's the secret. Get yourself elected governor, take bribes until they finally put you away, then take your pick of young gold-diggers who want to write to you because they know in their heart of hearts that you are innocent.

You can bet he still has a stash of cash put away somewhere, or this romance would have ended when he was released to the other side of the window. In Louisiana, Democrats act like Republicans.
C'mon. You go from Chicago to Philly to Wash DC to Newark to Detroit to any state or city where corruption reigns and it's Dem run. You say what you want about Chris Christie or Bobby Jendal they are not accused of being crooks. They are bringing a measure of honesty to the two most corrupt states in the union.
You are right about Christie and Jendal, at least so far. Reformers of their stripe have a way of being caught with their hand in a new, somewhat reformulated, cookie jar, somewhere down the line.
But there is no lack of corrupt Republican machines in the United States, including Mayor Thompson of Chicago, and the machines that ran the cities of upstate New York, when there was any money in them.
I was thinking, however, of the tendency of Louisiana Democrats to be in the hip pocket of the oil companies.
