Civil Rights Complaint Brought in UC Berkeley Assault

Jerry Gordon has just written a piece in the New English Review about a civil rights complaint being brought involving an assault at the UC Berkeley campus. It involved a Jewish female student who was carrying a pro-Israel sign being rammed from behind by a shopping cart wielded by the leader of the Students for Justice in Palestine. It occurred last March during good old Israel Apartheid Week.

Of course, we have been complaining about this kind of stuff on UC campuses for a few years now. I applaud Ms Felber for bringing the action. Had she been a UC Irvine student, she would probably have had to fight half of the organized Jewish community to take such action.

Of course, last week, UC-Irvine was treated to a symposium of sorts by three Jewish "progressives" who certainly would not have supported Ms Felber. One of them, an arrogant, obnoxious Israeli anarchist named Matan Cohen, even told us that pro-Israel students on campus should not feel safe or comfortable. They should just deal with it. Ms Felber chose not to just deal with it.

Hoefully, this will be a wake-up call to all universities.
