From the Orange County Independent Task Forcxe on Anti-Semitism, I am cross-posting a letter written by Guy Rodgers, Executive Director of ACT for America to University of California at Irvine Chancellor Michael Drake concerning the pending suspension of the Muslim Student Union. (OCITF was cc'd on the letter.)

Since the suspension decision was first announced, I have refrained from commenting since an appeal is still in progress. Therefore, I will withhold any editorial comment on that decision at this time other than to say that whatever the final outcome is, the university should announce it publicly since it only pertains to an organization and not to any individual students (which would be protected information under privacy laws). Since the suspension is due to take effect in September, when the new term begins, it is expected that a final decision on the appeal will be made soon.

I hate to tell you this but nothing will be done to the MSU. I believe that the administration of UCI is waiting for the heat to die down before they announce that they will do nothing and impose no punishment. It would be against the idea of multi-culturalism to punish the MSU. I do expect strict punishments against Jewish students and organizations on campus.
Findalis,
Time will tell, but if the suspensiuon is due to begin in Sept, time is running out. The public is watching the situation, so whatever happens will not be behind closed doors. Whatever they decide, it must be transparent.
